What's a competition that you've never tried, that you'd like to try?

I'd really like to find a Bullseye league to give that a try sometime, as I think there's got to be something an action shooter can learn from the Bullseye crowd about accuracy.

And if I didn't have to wear silly clothes and have people call me Dusty Bottoms, I think shooting Cowboy guns would be fun as heck.

I really want to try something in the precision rifle world. I just need to build a rifle and figure out how to shoot at distance lol

I would like to shoot a subgun steel match.

Years ago I observed one, and frankly, it was stupid. Dudes would have been a 100x faster of they switched to semi-auto and aimed.

I think I have video, lemme look.

Edit: Found the video, skip ahead to 1:20, Vbulletin won't let me link there:

2 Gun, and USPSA.

I have been completely preoccupied with IDPA three out of four weekends a month, so something's got to give.

Brosef, make plans for the USPSA match at Woody's in March. You'll feel dirty you'll have so much fun.

I've tried IDPA, USPSA, GSSF, 2-gun and steel challenge.
Want to try a 3-gun match and there's an antique rifle/cast bullet sillhouette thing at my club I want to catch one day.

When sir? I was checking the calendar. Old eyes, adult beverages, can't see when it is.

Id like to try precision rifle, especially the one where you have to hike to different shooting positions.

My 2017 calendar isn't complete yet.

Just let me know if you have it some where. No panic. Thanks!

IDPA and Cowboy Shooting.

And maybe a beauty pagent. With a swimsuit competition.

Think I'm going to try a gssf match. I hate iron sights, but a buddy is going to outfit me with his open glock.

Back when I lived in Atlanta and shot GSSF, there was no open division. Only box stock allowed.

Cowboy action. There's just something about the guns of the old West.

You're just trying to win guns to finance your shooting, aren't you?

Ive always wanted to shoot a match (be it 2gun, 3gun or pistol only) where you did not get to walk the stage (or even really see the targets) before shooting. going in "blind" seems like it would dramatically change the game. I think they exist but they are understandably less popular.

I'd like to try a precision match. I may get my feet wet with the rimfire match at DPRC. I just have a savage MKII, but it would still be fun.

I have all the guns and they are ready for cowboy action . Don't have the clothes or the time. One day I am going to make time. Work seems to always get in the way.

I really wanted to do the pocket carry competition then it shit down so I never got to do it.

Bianchi Cup

We shoot NRA Action Pistol/Bianchi cup style matches at Buccaneer Gun Club, which is just outside of Wilmington NC, the 4th Sunday of the month, March-October, come on down and give it a try. We always shoot the falling plate match and the moving target match, and often add one more segment (barricade or practical) if there is time and interest.

NRA TPC does this sometimes from what I hear.

I've thought about doing them at PHA. The catch is that without a dedicated range staff to paste/reset the stage, the logistics don't really work too well, at least in my head.

I'll definitely try that out

I agree on the dedicated staff aspect. You could probably do it with nothing but steel targets. scoring would be easier that way as well and no reset.

an organized event with staff that got to shoot the match the day before would help too. logistics indeed.
