Very cold.Looks like we're in for a cold winter.
I’ll let you argue that fact with my 40 year old wooden level.I'm no engineer, but it appears your floor isn't level.
Its a split level.Easy fix. Just add shag carpet and call it a sunken floor, problem solved.

...and they are about two dimensions light, jus' sayin'.Quite the span on those joists
We will see who is still standing in 15 years, you or it. 😉...and they are about two dimensions light, jus' sayin'.
I think that's "southern standard" construction. The woodshed that came with our house when we bought it in '87 looked a lot like that in terms of lumber dimensions. It had been there since probably the mid '70s when the house was built (did they even have codes then in rural NC counties?). About 20 years after we moved in, and after years of shoring it up and adding braces, pulling it back into square with the tractor, I finally tore it down and we replaced it with a shed for my wife we bought from Lowes. She keeps some firewood in there, but most of ours is stacked outdoors as previously described....and they are about two dimensions light, jus' sayin'.
This one needs to be shored up and given more braces......after years of shoring it up and adding braces...
If you don't have a significant annual snow load, you can get away with a lot in terms of a woodshed.
I can't disagree with this. Also, given that the rafters aren't tied to much of anything, a good wind may just lift it off into the next county. And I hope that the roofing is screwed down rather than nailed. It's amazing how much lift a good wind will provide. When I built our 20'x40' pole barn, I put hurricane ties on every truss, and have been very glad I did. That barn is going on 30 years, and we just finally had to replace the 5V on it a year ago. This one needs to be shored up and given more braces...
Give a strong wind and I'll put money that roof goes on a long journey, but it does look niceWe will see who is still standing in 15 years, you or it. 😉
