Some were off-color, but many were red and spotty... just like the native species.


But I didn't have time to count spots; I was too busy loading the flammenwerfer.
 
You could always use praying mantis instead. Collect a few eggs sacs and spawn a million of em.

Long ago, I embraced the Void. It told me to hug everyone else on its behalf.

And as a giant nerd when I still did role playing games (Dungeons and Dragons etc) I was well known for my apocalypse-prone scifi dystopias so. Nothing like giving the players a rope of good intentions and letting them accidentally hang the world with it.

More orange? Mexican bean beetle. Kill them all. I don't think they are usable for anything.

As to honey bees, that can be a wild rabbit hole. Industrial use is hard on them. Monoculture farming is odd for them. Industrial bee hive theft is big business. It's not just your local buddy with some hives. They ship them around the country by the truck load to pollinate and over winter them. And a lot of the bees that are having issues are not as big in the pollination game. Think wild living bees and habitat loss.

But if you want any of those hard shell orange beetle things they are all on my back porch. You can come get them. Anytime.
 
Well you need to come to Catawba County! I ran thr a swarm of something big the other night in the Jeep and id have sw that it was hail! Left big carcas’s and spatter all over the windshield and grill! I’d just washed the damned thing too!
 
in/on/around our property:

1. dragonflies are abundant.
2. have not seen a Japanese Beetle this year.
3. mosquitos are ubiquitous.
