Where do you get your supplies

Usually buy bullets from whoever has the best sale or deal

Dies: I generally want something specific like a small base sizing die with competition seater die (just an example) so I go where whatever peculiar thing I want is in stock. Usually the choice is made for me.

Powder/Primers: Local since when I buy them it usually never coincides with a No Hazmat shipping sale with online vendors.


Can I get any more vague? :eek:

dies? That's easy, I get Amazon warehouse returns. RCBS, Lee, sometimes a Redding or Lyman set, etc. All because someone clicked the wrong button and got the wrong dies.

Bullets and brass from sagesreloadingsupply.com. Used to do alot of business with Cabela's until Bassturd Pro Shops ruined them.
 
Here's my list of websites that I'll buy from, with Powder Valley being the primary. For powder and primers, it's best to make bulk orders to reduce hazmat costs upswings. Get several buddies to go in on a bulk order or wait for 1 cent/free hazmat days.

Powder and primers at the local gun shows, there are a couple of vendors that have good prices, so no hazmat and shipping fees. Sometimes I buy bullets at the shows, but mainly I buy bullets online. Xtreme and Rocky Mountain Reloading are two of my favorites for pistol bullets. Some rifle bullets, and presses/dies etc. usually from Midway.

Word of advice, don't buy anything that can break off Amazon Warehouse, like Optics, electronics, etc. It's hard to break dies and esp ones with a no questions asked warranty like RCBS....in fact I purchased a .223 SB resizer for about $5 less than a new one (like new condition) and I am assuming it hasn't even been on a press like the countless other ones I've gotten. I've also bought Lee molds (esp 6 cav molds) cheaper than most Castboolits sellers list used ones at, and of course with Prime it's 2 day shipped and guaranteed returns. Win-Win.

You'll get new listings and used listings in All Departments. Go in Amazon warehouse and type RCBS reloading, or Lee Reloading, etc. Then you'll start seeing 1 used offer, etc.

Bullets RMR. I can get FMJ for the price of Plated.
S&B Primers from Cabelas. Get the gift cards $80, cost for a $100 gift card and wait for them to go on sale for $19.99 per 1000.
Dies get them used or Amazon etc....
Powder go with local or wait until Brownells, Natchez or Midway do free or $.01 hazmat + free shipping.

I don't think Cabelas' does the S&B bargain anymore after Bass Profit bought them. That used to be my go-to deal as well. Also, something weird in BP the other day- no powder on the shelf.

Thanks for that hint! I ordered some 300 BO dies for about half price using the warehouse.

Yeah it’s been a while since I bought them. I have been buying them cheap and stacking them deep for years.

Waiting to see what they do after turkey day. Really appreciate those at $20/k and then the $20 off $100 coupons.

IIRC they ran a few times last year. They ran it in Dec 2017 & March 2018.
