Where do you Shoot?

I'm a member of Sir Walter Gun Club. This is where I mostly shoot skeet and handguns. When I'm shooting in registered trap events, I shoot at Durham Co. Wildlife Club, Buckhorn Gun Club in Mebane, Old Hickory Gun Club in Rocky Mount and Buccaneer Gun Club in Wilmington.

Since moving to Franklin Co (11 acres for you who asked, and that's one of the smaller plots in the area) I shoot out back. Before that, I used to go to Range 37 (now 37 PSR) in Bunnlevel

Foothills shooting complex,
Cherryville,NC. Well worth the 45 minute drive. Shooter's Express don't bother, I was in there a few months ago and witnessed them renting a pistol to 2 girls who had never touched a firearm, they asked me for help because they didn't know how to load the mags smh!

That is awful!

Sighted in a pistol at Windy Hill in Elkin today. It's a super nice gun shop with lots of eye candy.

Thanks for the information on Shooter's Express. I need to get to Foothills in Shelby.

My back 40 has a below grade 50’ x 100’ range, and I also have a 500 meter rifle range.

Me, TSA when I'm in the mood to further destroy whats left of my hearing, otherwise outdoors at private facility near Goldsboro or at the Caswell public range. I'm about done with indoors, rules are one thing, I just can't take the reflected sound levels. One hour out of town is about my limit.

BTW I have used the indoor range at Neuse Sports in Kinston when on the way out to the coast. Under-utilized and cheap.

-Rowan County to train for super ninja aerobatics,
-Right outside my garage to chrono or spend brass
-And if its raining, open the garage door and setup a brass net

Depends what I’m shooting and how much I shoot.
If I’m sighting in a rifle then I usually go to a previous employer’s private 400 yard range.
If we shoot skeet, then we either go to my dads land way off the road or my pipeline that’s beside the house.
If I’m shooting pistols then the pipeline.
If I just need to check the sights on something real fast then the wellhouse in the back yard makes a great bench rest and I have a hill 80 yards behind the house.

Dirty John range between Franklin and Nanthala in the National Forrest. Pain to get to but is the closest real range. Sometimes I go down to the old dump near Fontana Lake if I don't have time for the two hours of driving.

PHA member here also. When I can't make it up there, I go to Eagle Guns in Concord for a quick trip. Wanna check out PHA sometime, hit me up, I usually go on Sunday's, be more than glad to show you around.

Wasn’t busy at all there today. We went ~3p-5p.

The Assistant Pastor of Mrs. Jeppo’s church asked her to ask me where he can find an 800 yard range closest to High Point. Seems Santa brought him a trick rifle the other day. :)

Any ideas folks?

Down the lane to the open fields, there is about 150 yard shooting lane backed by a large earthen berm. All the family uses it , you can hear gunfire often. (One of the perks of country living)
