I am not sure who is supposed to want that? People that want a 5.56 rifle with wood for twice the price of an AR?

From reading their write up, it appears they’re trying to capitalize on the modular capability of the AR platform. Sort of like a TC Contender but semi auto instead of break action single shot.

If the price was more along the lines of an AR I still wouldn’t buy one. There’s something obscene about an AR with wood furniture.

somebody posted one on here for about 700 a few weeks ago and it was snatched up fast.
fightlite makes small batches that sell out fast - for like... all their products. Prices are set high because people pay. including the belt-fed upper

They're an interesting breed. I had a couple of their lowers.

Popular in ban states like NY. You have most of the modularity of the AR platform without the evil features.

The bolt carrier is similar to the Remington 1100. It will take any bolt that you would use in the AR-15.

Many have been modifying 1100 stocks for these for years

I remember watching a video about this, but can't find now.

Argument was that it is the ideal trunk/truck gun while traveling.
Legally, youre supposed to be able to travel interstate with a firearm, even if the state doesn't like that particular firearm.
But as a lot of fliers have seen, places like NY or IL still have a way to screw owners.

This was set up so that it should be safe no matter where you're traveling.

If I was a rich man/class 3 manufacturer, I'd do an SCR rifle lower with a 10" 9mm upper, colt mag adapter and a lightning link, throw a drum/sticks in it and have a modern Ppsh.

I dont know, my first AR was just like this Colt HBAR from Project Appleseed poster, has some charm but heavy...

Clearly built for the ban states but I can see the appeal where you can mount the optic lower and reduce the bore offset.

Free float the barrel like you would any other AR build. Build it in your caliber of choice.

As long as it works in the standard 15 platform.

A Troy ambidextrous magazine release turned upside down works on these.

As was mentioned, you can mount your optic lower.

The only downside really is the trigger and bolt carrier is proprietary. Trigger is...eh but there are hacks to make them better.

I know of one guy who worked one over to work with a Brownells 180 upper.

Another has a wildcat upper, 35 caliber - using Grendel brass and 357 pistol bullets - for yotes out to 200

Okay it makes a bit more sense in that context.

I finally watched the video @pinkbunny posted; I like it now.

Still looks a little chihuahua~boxer love child-y to me, but I appreciate any political work-around that functions.
