Whomever said Jamie Foxx could act

Ray was his best hands down, but I also liked Django unchained.
 
Iā€™ve been watching stuff with him since days on the ā€œ In living Colorā€ show. Funny guy and great actor.

His skit stuff was good, but he should have never progressed from there.

Law Abiding Citizen is one of my favorite movies, but I cringe everytime Foxx "acts."

While sipping some whiskey last night, I watched Jarhead. Good flick, but he soured it enough for my drunk self to make a thread about him.

Maybe he's just cast wrong. I liked him in his comedic roles, but the serious and hard stuff just reeks, imo.

gothxha, I didnā€™t like Jarhead. The whole movie was a let down to me. The one with Tom Cruise as the assassin was great. Collateral damage???
 
He is the same guy in every movie.. no range at all.

He was fun in the Horrible Bosses movies as well (in my opinion, but small roles)

I also really like law abiding citizen, but I thought Jarhead was a terrible movie. It had a good story but the execution was pretty poor. It reminded me of a low-mid budget first time director movie.

Not always the best actor but he is a funny guy. In living color was.great.

So I casually opened this thread the other day when it popped up as new, read it, had no real opinion so I didn't reply in it. Next thing I know, YouTube's "algorithm" is throwing me scenes from "Law Abiding Citizen" on my homepage.

Now I have an opinion on the matter, but i should keep it to myself as the interweb is listening.

Okay. I just watched Django.

The reason why he did a good job in this movie was because he barely had a part in it. He was nothing but a face.
As long as he didn't have a speaking part, he was okay.

The movie was okay, but mostly because of the actual lead character. But otherwise, it was crap. But hey, at least Jamie got to kill all those white folks.
