Why Carry a 1911? Gun Guys

A few years back I was in a class with Ken Hackathorn and we had a famous (infamous) internet personality that had made a Youtube video proclaiming "1911s Suck". I made sure that I got beside of him on day 1 of the class. Guess who's Glock 19 had issues over 2 days and guess whose 1911 never bobbled? His wife took this photo:

All guns have a potential to fail. Parts get worn and stop working or break on any gun. Any (well made) properly maintained gun should be reliable. This thread is just a “shit on 1911” thread.
