Wild Wild West

Watching the old series with Robert Conrad. Great episode, there's a gunfight going on outside a barn. One side is hunkered down behind big boulders. The other guys are all behind hay bales. .....
I wonder who's gonna win

Lol I saw a tv show character hide behind cardboard boxes while taking fire last night.

It just hit me that this is a good example of the difference between cover and concealment.

This was my favorite TV show as a kid, came on opposite Tarzan, so my sister and I fought over who got to watch what. My dream as a kid was to have an inventory of firearms to choose from like on the show,

I may or may not still want a pull down wall in my closet with all my guns hanging on it...too cool;)

Seriously, though, would a large, machine-rolled hay bale provide an adequate backstop for some close range ( < 10 yards) handgun shooting (with there being a large woods of private property behind)?
