Trying to find out the market value for my Wilson combat. It's new. It's never been fired. I picked it up in a trade a while back and I thought about keeping it but it's just too much money for me to have tied up. It's got a 16-in barrel. It's non-fluted. I've seen prices all up and down and can't seem to find a number that's fair to me and to the buyer. Any and all help is appreciated. Thank you

It is a tough market for ARs right now.

The problem with Wilson stuff is they're really only recognized for superior 1911 magazines, 1911 pistols, and in the time before Langdon Berettas the Wilson Beretta 92.
These days it seems Wilson is making a nice product, but slapping the Wilson name on all kinds of stuff that Wilson isn't known for. A guy with $2k+ buying a boutique AR might opt for Daniel Defense or Noveske before Wilson. Another guy will scoff as that money and buy an Areo and say it's just as good then spend the rest of the money of ammo or bourbon.
In a day when PSA will sell a functional AR rifle for less than $400 the boutique rifles get clobbered on price.
I think the rifle itself is maybe going to fetch 900-1k.

Think I may just have to keep it then I've had it put up for awhile debating if I should take it out an put some rounds through it I got 1200 in it sounds like I over paid thought I was getting a deal but that's how it works. An yea I agree the PSA guns have really made it to where anyone can get a cheap AR might as well have some fun with it. An drown my sorrows in whiskey lol

For a gun that costs over $2k new I'm not sure you over paid given its unfired. Sounds like it was a deal if you wanted a WC AR but it sounds like you didn't really want a WC AR.

Well it's kinda like timfoilhat said Wilson's not known for their ARs, 1911s almost everyone knows Wilson combat 1911s. I kinda bought it thinking I could make some money but now I might as well keep it. For what it is I guess your right I didn't really overpay, I bought it as a 2 gun deal the other gun a Ruger precision rifle I really wanted. This one not so much I didn't wake up saying I wanted a Wilson combat AR but getting the 2 together he knocked off quite a bit got both for 2k. I guess you could divide the price up however I want to make it sound better lol.
(Sounded better to the wife I was selling the more expensive one) haha

It's not going to cost you anything but time to post it in the BST here. Never know, someone who wants it and knows what it is may bite. I'd list it higher and know where your floor is expecting you're going to be talked down.

Yea I got it posted on armslist but kinda not doing as much on there as I use too feel like you get a better feel for people on here. I don't think I can post it on here yet I just joined yesterday like what I've learned an seen so far. Also like was stated the AR market right now is in the slums lol
Could always hold it until before the next election when everyone gets to grabbing guns lol

If it don’t trip your trigger … you might tuck it back … there will be another Dim attack on the 2A along (including evil black rifles) which can move the prices up again and then you can pull it out.

Yea that's what I was kinda thinking myself but who knows how long that will be been itching to shoot it already lol

I bought an unfired Wilson Beretta from the first batch of them with a low serial number from a guy on Armslist. Plan to Safe Queen that thing evaporated as soon as it landed in my hands. I'll devil's advocate for shooting it because it's already not likely to bring the "full value". Might as well have a little fun with it.

That's all I needed that little voice on my shoulder saying "shhute it shutee it Elizabeth" reference from the show swamp people lol

It will fetch a healthy premium in the next election when COVID all of the sudden is a serious concern again. It's not that far off.

Shoot it and enjoy it. Keep it in nice shape. It's value WILL increase eventually. It's become a pretty dependable thing.

Agreed they go down an then up everything goes up eventually my foodlion trips certainly have lol

As it sits it’s a solid $1,200 AR. If that’s not the optic you want on it, just sell the optic and equip it the way you want it. Might as well shoot it. IMO it’s as good as any other similarly specd AR.
