I'd have taken that trade no questions asked. Granted I have a PS5 already, but there's not much resale on video game consoles. Shops and game stores won't pay you more for new, and good luck on FB marketplace trying to resell it.

When the PS5 was harder to find holiday 2021, I got 2 invites for my account and wifes accout from Playstation to purchase consoles from a limited direct sale run. I kept one, listed the other on FB marketplace for MSRP(shelf price) multiple flakes, and endless low ball offers. And it was a hot commodity then.

Ended up gifting it to a family member for Christmas who lost his mind at the thought when he opened it. Totally worth it.
