Winston Salem Gun “Buy Back”

How can they do the no questions asked bit? What if they find a stolen gun or one that was used in a crime?
I mean technically they don't have to ask any questions... but we would be silly to believe that they wouldn't have the ability to show up at your door if you just happen to turn in a missing weapon used in a murder. I would assume that very good surveillance systems exist at these events.

I think this is common, they just destroy them, doubt that they even run them.

Besides, can’t I as a buyer do the same? Don’t really need to know anything about the seller. Assuming not an NFA item.

"100% anonymous, no questions asked"

This is, in layman's terms, BS.

Unless a person has this in writing, negotiated by an attorney and appropriately signed, it has LESS THAN ZERO weight legally.

This isn't a truth in advertising thing. It's already been upheld in court that the police can lie their keisters off as a legitimate part of their job, for one.

Who pays for this? The taxpayers of Winston-Salem?

I could care less. Who’s going to sell an AR15 for $200? Only someone who stole it that’s who. If they get 25 guns I would be surprised. Not much chance though of a criminal giving up his weapon to commit crimes producing money unless they need crack or meth NOW.

You would have to be plain ignorant to show up with a stolen gun regardless of if they promise not to run the serial number.

This would be a good time to have a 3d printer and just bring a mess ton of recievers

Just make sure you put then in the fridge to cool them down a little bit before you bring them.

Wouldn't want them to get suspicious that your pickup truck load of receivers was a profiteering venture, you know...

Its really an odd time to do a "buy back" the weekend before Thanksgiving. These things are always failures to begin with but around the holidays would make it even worse. They will probably get 5 of grandfather's old guns instead of the 15.

Offload your parts guns. If it was close enough I’d consider selling them my R51 because nobody else is likely going to want to buy it.
the space gun that was a marketing failure a couple years back after the first few had issues cycling? I will absolutely give you 150 for it if you come near fayetteville.

I'd turn in a lower or two... I have a stack of blems... and a few P80 frames too
