C&E will have its gun show in Winston-Salem this weekend at the formerly named Dixie Classic Fairgrounds. We will be there. Anyone else going?
 
9A-5PM Saturday. 10A-5PM Sunday.

Hard to say. This one will be quite a bit larger than Goldsboro - probably 3-4 times the size. But, it all depends on what dealers show up at each show.
 
Full disclosure, I am a vendor at the C&E shows which makes me a bit biased, but near as I can tell the larger vendors tend to focus on the larger shows to have the greatest chance of a return on investment in the time and table fees.

Before becoming a vendor I would attempt to go to the smaller shows like those at the S&D shows and found that I would be frustrated at the limited selection, but your results may vary.

Flip side of that is a lot of the shows with more tables are only that way because of pickles, jewelry, pillows, jerky, etc.

Doesn’t always work out that more tables = better selection, but sometimes it does.

Which is what makes them so worthwhile. Where else can you see such a broad assortment of desirable goods and pay only $10 for the privilege? 🤓
 
How have I never seen pickles at a gunshow? Also what happened to the people with the pie mix powder you stir into a tub of coolwhip?

What is a deal is very subjective, but a couple forum members seemed happy with their purchases from us.

One table has Defender 9mm ammo at $18 a box. Cheapest I have seen it since last spring.
 
Cubrock took almost all of my money,but did give me a nice ppsh41 in return. Also picked up a $50 Anderson lower at another vendor.

@Geezer introduced us to one another at a Myrtle Beach show right after you joined the forum here. I was helping a SC FFL buddy that weekend. I haven't been able to make it down to see you since then, but I plan on it! I have a first year Colt Cobra with factory shroud and pearl grips I want you to shoot. :)

Cubrock don’t be talking bout no first year Cobras now. I’m up to 17 D frame Colts and still looking.
BTw I joined NC Collectors in Statesville but haven’t heard anything from them. Are there any more shows planned?
I started that way today but I’m a bit worried about how many folks would be in a small area. Can’t help it, lost to many friends and others permanently damaged by COVID.

I’m not sure about more club shows this year. I haven’t heard that there will be, but I’ll update you if I hear differently. The club president was at the show this weekend. I’ll talk to him about it next time I see him.

The show was never terribly crowded, but you can never count on that. Better safe than sorry.

As for the Cobra, I’ll dig it out, take some pics and make a thread on it in the handgun section. The backstrap is hand engraved with an inscription to someone. It appears to be a presentation piece to a member of the military, but I can’t make heads nor tails on the unit that is engraved. Been meaning to make a thread about it for that reason alone. It is interesting that it obviously got carried A LOT, despite starting life as a somewhat fancy piece.

I should have known it was up your alley, too, Longarm. Wish I’d had it at the club show to show you.
 
Send me some pics to 336-589-9435. I got an official police fully engraved and looks like silver finished that belonged to a ret Army Col buried in Arlington. It’s one that Colt sent to Army in 44. Can’t find out a lot and obit didn’t included military history. Kinda like the 03 I got from you. I have a U.S. marked Det Spec and a nickel DS stamped Winston Salem PD that they carried from 60-71 according to a ret asst chief from there.
