Wonder Woman 1984

I didn't realize how much I liked Justice League until I realized how many time is stopped on it to watch. I bet I've watched it from different parts 10-15 times. Only once from the beginning. I don't remember it being that good just a good time killer when nothing else is on.

Looks good, but...

Just saw the trailer yesterday, will absolutely watch her in anything she does. Crazy hot !

I'd crawl through five miles of barbed wire just to hear her fart through a field phone !

PS: Linda Carter is still badass too !

First pushed from 6/5 to 8/14
Now pushed again to 10/2/20

:(

They might be reshooting, since the plot leaked out last year, and the idea of Kristin Weig as a villain just doesn't 'click' to me.
I really hope the plot isn't what was leaked.

I’m not too worried about the plot. It would be enjoyable to watch on mute. :D

:(

Delayed again...pushed back from 10/2 to Christmas Day.

Just saw where this is being released on HBOMax at the same time as the theater. Christmas Day.

And unlike the $30 Disney charged to watch Mulan when it was first released, there’s no extra charge to watch WW84 on HBOMax.

Linda Carter is married to my son's boss. I've asked my son if he can get me a ride on the invisible plane. ;)
I was just going to comment on something like that. We have a lot of Fallout (and Elder Scrolls) fans on this forum. They might also recognize her as the voice of Magnolia at the 3rd Rail.

Hey I have HBO Max so I will watch it since it's included but I do not think I would have gone to see it in the theaters after watching the preview.

And HBO Max is free with ATT Fiber......:)

I was a kid in the 80s but I do recall watching WW re-runs. The nostalgia entertainment is funny, as a lot of it is drummed up by people younger than me.
The "Stranger Things" creators grew up in Durham in the 90's for example.

That's hard to back up without pictures.
Not that the woman is ugly by any means, but she’s not even in the same ballpark, zip code, or anything else with Gal based on the back up pics.

I Wonder (see what I did there) how they are bringing Captain Kirk back...

I am relatively certain that just like the 80's this movie is a cocaine induced monstrosity of horrible style and no form
If I had to make a guess: It's a wish/monkey's paw kinda movie.
MacGuffin grants wishes, but end badly.
Gal Gadot wishes for Kirk to come back, but comes back in someone else's body.
Kristen Wiig is a doing a rehash of the Riddler in Batman & Robin. Comedian Jim Carrey played a pathetic, manic person who seeks power and is consumed by it. Basically, guessing Wiig wishes to be cool/powerful, turns into a cheetah woman, and the same kinda thing happens.
Main villain is Trump standin, who wishes to become famous and powerful.

I'm guessing main villain sees error of ways(last I heard, was a 'my daughter doesn't love me' kinda plot point), and wishes to reverse all wishes, so it's like it never happned. At least, that's what I understand of plot before the reshoots.
