Wordle (4/27): start with VAPID

Did a search for the word here and zero results. Anybody else here “playing” it?

My brother sent it to my dad and me earlier this week. So far I’m 4/4. One new puzzle each day. It starts with a grid that’s 6 rows of 5 squares. You have to type a word in the first row. There are zero clues/hints to get you started. It will mark the letters this way:



As an example, here was mine from the first day:



Nice that the keyboard is color-coded the same way. (There’s a color blind mode, and a dark mode, combined and shown below, in case you need it…you can use one, both or neither.)



Fun little brain activity. I won’t post today’s word, but the first two were FAVOR and ABBEY. Can’t remember what yesterday was, but nothing too strange.

I can't seem to get over the fact that they use 5 letter words and wordle has 6 letters!

My brother got it in 3 today as well. I would have, but had a 50/50 shot on the last word and guessed wrong.
