Would a “rifle caliber pistols” classified section be feasible?

Just speaking for myself but I go to the handgun section to look for handguns and not to look for rifle caliber pistols yet a solid # of the posts are usually rifle caliber pistols. Can be quite confusing at times

As the section is titled “Handguns for sale or trade”, would it be a bad idea to make a “rifle caliber pistols” or “Pistols - Rifle Caliber” subsection to clear up some space/confusion in the handguns section? Just an idea, wondering what everyone else thinks

Personally, I feel we have too many different sections already and you can easily distinguish whether an offered item is rifle-caliber or pistol-caliber. Just my $.02

I agree that with too many separate sections cause you have to dig to find anything and might not casually see things that might peak your interest. Reduces exposure for the seller. Also might force the seller to list in multiple sections.

Just my thoughts on the topic.

Our sellers - for the most part - actually do a decent job of describing their wares. I just don't see this as a big enough issue to do anything about.

Caliber has nothing to do with classification unless you are Biden and want to ban AR and AK pistols.

I’m aware. “Pistol - Rifle Caliber” just seems like an easier title of a classified sections rather than legal definition

I feel ya, it's kind of the consequence of the bullshit laws that have created the AR "pistol". It is a pistol in classification only.

On the flip side, I agree that it would make it more difficult to navigate the BST.

I'm with @amnesia and @fieldgrade. I just scroll through new until I hit the blue bar that tells me where I left off.
