It was on sale for 380$. Would you consider one of these? Why or why not? Anybody own one?

"The Omni Hybrid Maxx features ATI's metal-reinforced polymer upper and lower receiver."

For me, no. There are proven AL receivers out there for low $.

ATI's polymer lowers have a reputation for being notoriously awful, as does their customer service. Personally, I wouldn't buy one, and I'm a guy that loves inexpensive/blem AR's. I'd rather spend the $500 on a PSA blem.

I would not. I do not trust the long term durability of a plastic receiver set for the 5.56 cartridge. Plus it doesn't have ambi controls, and I'd rather pay more for something high quality with ambi controls on my own guns. Even if a person was super low on cash, I'd tell them to save a bit extra and buy a PSA/S&W/Ruger AR instead.

How about this one? This is aluminum.

I had one the ati Omni ars
I bought it for cheap put a couple of hundred rounds through it
Sold it a couple of years later to make room
the guy I sold it to teenage son put several hundred rounds through it without cleaning it till it caused a case head separation.
Last I heard after a good cleaning it was still running.
So back to the original question would I buy one .
If I had more than one ar and just wanted
Something different to play around with yes
If it was going to be my main go to rifle I'd spend a little extra and get the PSA

Life is too short for crappy guns. Now if I was destitute and had nothing maybe I’d grab one. They might be better than a knife or hammer.
