WTB metal HD four wheel yard wagon with folding sides

Hey,

Title says it all.

Need to move 10-12 foot sections of slab wood around the yard with out kill my back.

Anyone have one or know a good band, model to look at?

There aren't many yard wagons that are going to handle that length. Maybe someone has a cheap un-roadworthy 4x8 that you can hook to your riding mower?

That won't hold much. I have one like that from tractor supply. I replaced bent axles on it 2x already and thay was with about 300 pounds on it.

The 2 piece wheels are pretty weak on most of the carts. The center hubs will not take much side load and will break out the small welds. @LeeMajors repaired one, welded it back, for me a while back.

I don't think that most of these carts will handle more than a couple hundred pounds before something on them fails, but they are handy to have around.

I have one of the 1400lb ones from Tractor supply. It's on about it's 11th repair. Re welding the side slats, replacing tires, axels and pulling the front axel and making a two wheeled cart rather than a four. I found that if you made a real tight turn with the steering axle it would tip over a lot.

Laying the sides flat is useless as they aren't strong enough to hold any weight that way.

good luck with using one of those carts and moving 12' lumber. you can do it, but it'll be aggravating as snot or crap
