Yep, some kind of vacuum process gizmo. It was in a box with a Kodak film projector from the early or mid 60’s. My FIL was smart, but not very organized.

Looks like a thermocouple to me. Fancy word for high temp thermometer that connects to a device to tell you the temp.

It was just Nor Cal Products and their 800#.

My FIL owned an engineering firm that designed and manufactured vacuum process controls for measuring fine film. Like the films that go on optics, glasses and sensors. This must have been dragged home from work or a trade show.
