Les Deplorables
I watched a little WWF when I was very young. Back then we knew it was fake, but we could deceive ourselves that at least some of it was real because we didn't have that much exposure to real fighting - there was no MMA, and boxing was totally different and not applicable. And for sure the theatrics appeal to young kids.
I get going to WWE with your young kids. But there are teenagers and men who are fans. I don't get it. Watch a little MMA and WWE becomes an unbearable cringefest.
Remember when Ronda Rousey was armbar-ing everybody and their mama in the octagon? Here's the WWE "armbar" (prepare to cringe hard) - skip to 3:10 mark:
Kinda reminds me of some shoulder rehab a PT performed to *relieve* pain, not cause it.
Can someone 'splain the appeal of the WWE to males over the age of 11?
