Your Favorite Commercial Songs or Jingles

In all honesty my all time favorite jingle is the 1971 original “I’d like to buy the world a coke”.

It was truly original, far ahead of its time and just really well done.

A timeless classic IMO.

I regularly enjoy making up my own words to this theme song because nothing is not everything. o_O

Got a damned pill for everything nowadays.

When I first started seeing pharma ads for psoriasis meds, I told my wife, “Look…they have a psoriasis pill now.”

The old folks I know/knew just slapped on some Witch Hazel, rolled with it and it didn’t have the side effects these meds do…

But a bottle of WHA is cheap and pharma’s not making any money off of it…go figure.

Hate DTC drug ads. You cannot watch any commercial break without seeing at least one.

I'm old enough to have a LOT of favorites.

Successful commercials/jingles are, above all, memorable due to their impact on our human psychological traits and quirks. Cadence, beat, music, rhymes, visuals... there's a reason why there's an entire business devoted to advertising.

Without posting a link to give this away by the jingle, complete the words in parentheses to these jingles:

Five-eight-eight, two-three-hundred, (final word)

Or how about this one:

It's not nice to fool (final words)
Or:

I don't wanna to grow up, I'm a (store) kid.

And I have fond memories of Connie Stevens and Suzanne Somers singing:

(Store) is the place with the helpful hardware man.

Even if you're not old enough to remember these first hand, a lot of you will recognize them!

Probably the longest popular jingle/song i can remember was for the Slinky. The full song was a minute long, but most people remember the short version:

What walks down stairs, alone or in pairs, and makes a slinkity sound?
A spring, a spring, a marvelous thing! Everyone knows it's Slinky.
It's Slinky, it's Slinky. For fun it's a wonderful toy.
It's Slinky, it's Slinky. It's fun for a girl or a boy.
It's fun for a girl or boy!

Empire (today)
Mother Nature
toysrus
ace. (Changed to folks at the end now)

this one captured my imagination as a kid. It was an old commercial then but still played the crap out of it on tv in SW VA

weird ads capture me sometimes like this old one with Quiznos rats (I guess?). I went around saying “they got a pepper bar” every time I drove past one for a couple years
