Been looking for a .22 conversion for my Kimber 45, and they’re scarce as hens teeth right now. I’ve owned a Kimber conversion in the past, and it worked well.

Optics Planet has the Advantage Arms unit in stock, and I’m wondering about it. Actually ordered it, but can cancel if necessary, as they’re estimating 3+ days for shipping. Give me your thoughts/experience on this conversion.
 
Haven't used the 1911 one, but had the AA kit for Springfield XD. Worked well. Nice kit. The only issue was you HAD to run CCI MiniMags. It would not run any other ammo. This was stated in the manual, but i still tried others. Never found another that would cycle reliably. That being said, as long as the kit was CLEAN AND LUBED, it ran flawlessly. Hope this helps.

Installed a 17 pound mainspring in my Kimber, and it’ll now digest any solid point 22 bullets I put in it. Don’t have any hollow points at the moment to try.
 
Marvel all the way!! I have a Gen 1 model and have the optics rail as well and a dedicated lower. Blast to shoot and shoots standard velocity CCI which makes me happy..... Extremely accurate!!
 
I have the AA kit it is a great kit mine is good with CCI mini mags, CCI Blasers, Winchester M22, Remington yellow jackets, hates federal anything. Mine even works with Federal Auto Match after the new hammer spring. I'm glad because I've got a bunch of it.
