Youtube censorship and alternatives

Is that anything like the code that was in Windows: if (default_browser /= I.E.) then run_slow)?

Thanks to Dry and everyone that have contributed to this thread, I've learned a lot that I was too lazy to find out on my own.

I kinda think all of us non leftists (big tent here) need to identify one place (or one for text, one for video if necessary) and leave en mass. Something has to bring us together. I fear we may never achieve critical mass otherwise and things will just continue as normal.

If we can find and promote a site as unfiltered/unmoderated, 100% 1st Amendment freedom of speech rather than just a site for conservatives that they will brand as white supremacist, we can contrast it with facebook/youtube as the places for pussys needing a safe space. I think it would draw people in. Then we have to make sure it stays that way. I vote we spin off sites from here with the CFF management, lol, not sure I trust anyone else. ;)

I don't see how non-leftists would leave en masse, though I would certainly welcome it! That said, I don't think it's critical. Leftist censorship has to increase given the ability of the internet to red pill people, and as that censorship increases, people will seek uncensored platforms. And as the left attacks those creators and platforms, they help weed out the weak/less committed and strengthen the more resilient/more committed. Take for example the deplatforming of Gab after the PA synagogue shooting. Within a week, Gab found a new host and new payment processor. That's business lost from the old host and old payment processor, who were ready to bend over backwards to the left's deplatforming demands, and new business for companies that support free speech. Gab also undoubtedly gained users from all the media attention.

As an example of an individual, take Roosh V, a guy who teaches 'game' (i.e., picking up women) - the left has had a hard on for him for years, and they even got Amazon to ban his most recent book, as well as others (which is scandalous considering the kind of perverted garbage that Amazon sells). At first, it was a huge blow to him. But he's resilient. He now has multiple sites, including his own, where his books are available.

Censorship hardens the opposition, requiring increasingly heavy-handed censorship, which turns off more people.

This will never happen. Look at Gab and Bitchute - they support pretty much all non-criminal content, including far left content. Guess who are the first people to show up on such new platforms? Yep, the content creators who have been banned from the mainstream social media sites. The people who haven't been banned from Youtube and whose material is not remotely in the realm of wrongthink have no incentive to migrate to Bitchute because the size of the audience is much larger on Youtube. So the content on any new site will at first be dominated by 'wrongthink' content, which the media will naturally label white supremacist, etc.

I posted something about this before, maybe yall can tell me if anything has changed, but has Bitchut or gab started paying for content?

If they offered money for videos (with views), I think you'd see more going there. But, as it is, many like being monetized on YT, even if they have to censor a bit.
I think you'd even have crossovers, people posting both places, if they started paying.
