Youtube Video's Not Available on CFF?

I just started noticing today that any video link to YouTube is showing as unavailable.

I tried to link a YouTube video earlier today, and my link said the same thing.

Anybody else seeing this?

My guess is that's it's a YT thing. I also have about the least amount of knowledge when it comes to IT stuff so there's that.
 
All the ones I’ve checked on AR15 are still there…so it’s not simply a change in hotlinking rules.
 
I clicked on a link that's supposed to direct to a video with duckduckgo.

No video.
 
I think I was able to click (actually touch and hold, on a tablet - maybe the equivalent of right click) on one of these and got the option "open link in a new tab" and it played.
 
Prior to yesterday I had only seen this on age restricted videos while using chrome on my phone.

Shows unavailable, but if I click the arrow lower right it opens YT & plays. IIRC, YT has a 'feature' which if activated forces you to open YT to play it.

On other boards Im on (two or three, MR2 and GRM) the yt vids are still loading fine as they should.
Maybe something updated on the software? Im sure our great folks will get it sorted very soon. Really puts a halt to threads like "Watcha listening to" etc
 
I'm a mod at another board, and Screwtube does all sorts of things to mess up board linking. :mad:

Just part of the evil empire that IS, beer gOOgles...
 
The odd thing was, one of my links showed the error, then the error cleared for a few minutes and the link worked, then failed again.
 
Messing up all sorts of threads.
 
Youtube changed the code on how the yt video embeds into the site. I just applied a patch that was released to fix the issue.

I now get this "noise" when starting a YT video. It keeps playing and I hear it clearly, but they are covering the visual.

Additional info:

I have the problem on my Samsung phone using Google Chrome.
I just tried on my laptop using Comodo Ice Dragon and do not have the problem.
Hope this info helps.
