ZEV Technologies Z19 Duty RMR Stripped Slide, backup sights ????

If i purchase a ZEV Technologies Z19 Duty RMR Stripped Slide Compatible With G19 will standard height sights work ? I was thinking since it would be a direct rmr mount instead of having to use a mounting plate that maybe the standard sights would work, but I'm not sure. If standard sights won't work what height sights would I need ?

Looks like a pretty low mount. You’re probably ok. I’d get the rmr. Install it. And then eyeball someone’s stock Glock sights next to it. Honestly, I usually knock my sights out when I install an rmr. It’s not gonna break. If it does, you can still hit minute of man with no dot and enough practice.

The rmr window is small enough, don’t want suppressor sights mucking it up. But to each their own.

Unless they've changed something in the past few years since that slide came out, stock height sights won't work. I used Dawsons on mine with a RM06. I don't see them on their website anymore but it should be these: https://jagerwerks.com/trijicon-rmr-sro-iron-sights-for-glock/ I don't remember them having the options for full or lower 1/3 cowitness back then though.

Zev slides have fairly deep RMR cuts, at least the two that I have do. Stock Glock sight won't fit for sure. And the Ameriglo XL sights are too tall for me. What I found is that the TTI fiber optic sights are the perfect heights, .21" front and .24" rear (https://tarantacticalinnovations.com/tti-ultimate-fiber-optic-sight-set-for-glock/). I had to shave the ledge on the rear sight in order to install the red dot.

@df0101 did you use Glock oem slide parts with your Zev slides ? I was looking at getting the L2D Combat Enhanced Slide Parts Kit for Glock Gen 5 9mm. This will be my first attempt at swapping slides or really doing any kind of modifications.

Got everything in and installed. I went with suppressor height XS Sights Minimalist Tritium night sights ($59.99). The rear is blacked out and the front has a Tritium insert with an orange ring. I like the contrast between the blacked out rear and the orange ring in the front. It helps my poor eyes. I'm pretty satisfied with the Zev Duty slide also.
