What small amp would you all recommend? My wife is ready to move from her acoustic guitar to an electric guitar.

I’m a “tube snob”, but tubes only sound good at higher volumes, and even a 5 watt tube amp can be too loud. A 10watt tube amp is waaaaay too loud and will shake the windows. Just something to consider.
The thing about modern modeling amps like the Spark:
There are literally thousands of amp/cabinet/effects/mic combinations. And can download thousands more from the cloud.
Also, they work as a recording interface. Can write out the chords you are playing. Has jam tracks to play along with.
Just so many features it’s hard to beat as a practice amp for any kind of music or style.

Power Attenuation like a Rock Crusher!
I run my 50W head at 7W and am able to squeeze my tubes just nice without blowing my windows out. Speakers also can play a large roll in perceived volume too. Couple Greenbacks in a 212 at 7W will give you that great hard driven tube sound at a manageable, in home, volume!

Dude, 7 watts can be very very loud! My Fender Champ is 7 watts I believe.
I use an attenuator on my 1/2 watt amp! And that is through a single 10" speaker.
Something to consider:
100 watt tube amp is about as loud as you can get for guitar amps.
10 watts is 1/2 that volume!
Your house must be rocking!
It IS loud I’ll give ya that!! But with the volume and energy produced, magical sounds arise! There’s also something about playing loud when your tone is right....it just feels more inviting to go with it and really wank out.
Luckily I don’t get a tap on the shoulder when I play. I’m typically in the farthest corner of the farthest room with the door shut haha. Love hearing / feeling that air move.

Yeah, really makes a difference with the dynamics. I'm kinda screwed in a town house.
Neighbors like loud music, but it has to be good loud music, lol.

But the feeling of standing in front of a screaming 100 watt'er through a 4x12 is an experience like nothing else! Practical, no, but ohhhh so exhilarating!

I have grown increasingly curious of the Tone Master series from Fender. Most notably is the Super Deluxe Reverb, not blonde but the black Tolex and American voiced speaker.
I’m going to play through one this month and see how it jives with my playing. I won’t get rid of my tubes. Ever. But for home levels and all the head room? Super interested.
I had one played for me at a guitar center closer by. I’m a lefty and they were no lefty guits on the wall. We close on our house on 11FEB, then I’m going to get a guitar and run to GC. I have been super into chord melodies lately and this amp is voiced perfectly for that.

I have used something very similar (although not as cool looking) on the last record we recorded. We had 3 amps taching pretty hard in one isolation room with much larger and uglier versions of this. Plenty of separation with minimal bleed. They work!I've seen/heard these in use live. They're pretty amazing. They look like a guitar cab. But they're filled with sound/absorbing insulation. They let you crank up your tube amp and not tear wallpaper with it. They're all over Nashville TN.

Full disclosure. I know the CEO/inventor of the thing. He's a guitar player and production guy. He came up with this as a solution for tube snobs (which he is) AND sound guys (which he also is).
I have zero professional/financial relationship with him. We were in a band together for a decade and remain pals.
But every production guy in Nashville bars who has seen the thing had said "I'll take two." Tom Bucovak, Nashville session ace has one and mentioned it on his YouTube show "Home Skoolin".
John Speight has locations in Nashville TN and Greenville NC but can ship anywhere.
Again, we don't do referrals or any other financial stuff. I'm just pals with the guy and know he's come up with a BA product.
He was just getting going when COVID hit so he hasn't done much in the way of social media yet. He's getn ready to crank that up.
It ain't cheap. But it looks great and works like a champ. It eats the plexiglass stuff for lunch. I've seen/heard a side-by-side comparison.

That's very cool! A useful tool for a serious and/or professional musician with lots of space and money for equipment, and a spendy tube amps. Pretty reasonable price it seems too, for those that need such a thing.
Probably wouldn't recommend it for a small practice amp though.
What pups you got in there? So close to completing my project. Just need to countersink some holes to get more thread exposed for mini switches and set it up. Almost done.

Never played the Thornbuckers, but I do like the Aldrich 'buckers they make.
Were you working directly with Mojotone or just some random guy? I used to be a dealer with them when I had my repair shop and I think it's still active, so if you need anything in the future, let me know.I’ve never tried either set. But I’m a Pete Thorn fanboy. Like Aldrich , too.
Likely be happy with either set.
Was going to get Mojotone. Because they are made here in NC, and you can custom order. I wanted black covers. But dude flaked out and I realized it would be a pia to deal with that guy.

Hahaha! Probably so. Those "safety meetings" are, like super important man.Dang, wish I would have known that.
I called directly and spoke to "the guy". Explained what I wanted, he agreed he would do it. Never did it.
I think I caught him after a 10 bong-hit lunch. At any rate, no hard feelings, I just got something else.
So, three way pickup selector, volume and tone, and a coil tap for each pickup? It looks great, by the way.So close to completing my project. Just need to countersink some holes to get more thread exposed for mini switches and set it up. Almost done.

Figured out the simple chords to Deep River Blues on acoustic guitar. I think I’ll let Doc be my guide, because if it’s Tommy Emmanuel I’ll have to kill myself.
Who knows Breedlove guitars? I played this at Harrys last week and it is a beauty to behold and hear, and it’s a 12 fret, which I’m jonesing for. Might Trade a taylor 410 for it I bought from them 20 years ago.
To me, Martin and Taylor guitars sound nothing alike. Both good at what they do. But not even similar. The people I've know that had them were grassers, claimed they liked them a lot, and they chose it after also shopping Taylor, the "other" would-be Martin-slayer.
My take is 30-40 years ago in the acoustic world there was Martin, Gibson, then Guild....and Yamaha at the other end of the spectrum. To me, Martin and Taylor guitars sound nothing alike. Both good at what they do. But not even similar.

They are comparable in quality, but sound different to me.My take is 30-40 years ago in the acoustic world there was Martin, Gibson, then Guild....and Yamaha at the other end of the spectrum.
Then along came Bob Taylor. He occupies a different space, but I expect he cut into Martin’s market share appreciably.
