Really looking forward to this one.

I don’t know about this. I loved Justified. It will be incredibly difficult to shake the expectations of Boyd Crowder and company. They won’t be there. Raglan’s one-liners will be, and the writers certainly learned Leonard’s style even without him around.

I’ll definitely watch it. But there is a a steep wall ahead of them. The risk is high to tarnish the show’s legacy.

It really had some incredible characters.

To me it was really impressive they made such a great cast of in depth and believable characters from a few short stories by Elmore Leonard.

I always got a real kick out of the few scenes they did almost word for word from one of the books. Like the riding the rap scene.

Loved that show, too bad the writer is gone.
Leonard’s original Raylan material was only a book or two. It was essentially the pilot episode and a little more. There was some original material that never made the transition to the show.

The writers “learned” Leonard’s style and ran with it. So him dying a while back (when Justified was still running) didn’t and won’t have any effect.

Like I said above, the challenge will be making something unique that respects the previous storyline but doesn’t whore it out—it will need to stand on its own.

I wish I was as fast with a Glock as Timothy pretends to be. Really enjoyed the show even though I picked up on it about the time it was done.

I liked Walton Goggins in The Shield as much as in Justified.

Speaking of The Shield, want to talk about a cross-over match up of universe ending proportions? Picture this team and the stories that could flow from it:

Vic Mackey plus Jack Bauer.

UN-EFFING STOPPABLE!!!

24 was an incredible show

The world of Raylan Givens is getting a second life in Justified: City Primeval. It’s based on the Elmore Leonard book “City Primeval: High Noon in Detroit.” I’ve read the book and really enjoyed it. Totally in line with the typical Elmore Leonard style and fits right with the Justified universe (even though the book and the Raylan storyline are not connected by Leonard). The two storylines should work together nicely.

Here’s the first pic of Timothy Olyphant under the famous Stetson.

Looks like they’re targeting summer 2023 for release.

Olyphant & Goggins have been 2 of my favorite actors for a while & loved their back 'n forth on Justifed. Goggins as Venus in SoA was funny as hell.
Not half as funny as Tig struggling against his feelings lol
