11 children rescued from ‘extremist’ men at ‘filthy’ hideout

I’ll bet you can find all kinds of inner-city kids in these kinds of conditions also.
Are a couple of guns really that alarming to these ignorant tv news women?

Waiting to hear more on the background of these men.

You won't. I think they were dark skinned supporters of Islam. No story here, move along.

Edit: if they were white mormons it would have been the lead stry on CNN. Instead it will just get a litte side story on Fox's website.

Maybe Sarah Sanders should buy Jim Acosta and his group of self-appointed heroes a set of fainting couches:

Ive seen worse out in the country. I've ran med calls to places walked in the door and walked right back out to catch my breath. I have called child protective services on one house.

I won't get into my opinions on weather or not these people should be saved.

A whole AR15!!!!

I'm amazed they didn't burn the compound down with everyone inside, you know because they just want to get home safe.

Ohhhhh, no Feds.
The government has established that pattern. "We have to save those children! Quick, set their house on fire."

No, but they have a message they are pushing so they act like it's scary and a big deal. The sheep watch, soak up the message that it's scary and a big deal and clamour for something to be done.

Looks like one is missing. Must be a shotty since I see some shells there. I think you are farily well supplied there for most situations. Although adding a 50 cal might be in order in case you need to shoot out an engine block or something.

Good eye....

That photo triggered me ...

Now I got get a light for my M1S90 :D

Now dumb question ... when you run dry do you grab another mag or just grab another AR?

And why do they called it a “ New York reload”? Does the average New Yorker have a second gun available with their draconian gun laws? o_O

New Mexico compound believed to have Islamic extremist ties

Spoken like a man that hasn't spent much time in NY.

Most of my life I dreamed of going to New York, seriously. Since I was old enough to know what a city was and see TV I wanted to go there. Then I started dating a girl from New Jersey and actually encountered New Yorkers in larger and larger numbers (they were mostly in NJ for cheaper taxes on shopping or something) and I slowly came to realise over the course of time that I never, ever wanted to spend any time in that city or state. The day came when she had planned a trip without realising my dream had been murdered by New Yorkers and I had to explain I didn't want to go.

So I stand by my statement. And almost all the New Yorkers I've interacted with since then have supported that statement.

Of course in NJ they can't even be trusted to pump bloody gas, but that's a whole different rant.

You should check out a map someday. New York City is a very small part of NY. The amount of fresh water lakes and rivers, farms and decent country people there might surprise you. Yeah there is a lot of pricks in NYC, but when you have that many people you are going to have some bad apples. But you can find people like that anywhere. I've met some natives down here that make the stereotypical NYC guy seem like a Saint.

No idea if these were city people or not, but damn near everyone that almost ran me over, or ran into us in a parking structure, or cut us off while blaring their horn had New York plates and every jackass that was being a jackass in person had a New York accent except one guy who sounded like Omar in The Wire and was actually an impetus to me finding out about getting a gun here.

True. But still an inadequate sampling to condemn a lot of people. But I guess it is easier to pile on a common target than actually learn what you're talking about.
I have plenty of experience up north. Much more than I'd like to have. My wife is from Hornell are you from NY? I know you are a Yankee what part of the north are you from.

ETA: I think Brit was talking about the city. I don't blame him for not wanting to go, but if he did or if anyone does, stop at Stew Lenard's grocery store. Everything there is made on thier farm from dry aged steaks and a petting zoo. It actually in Yonkers. It's like an amusement park/grocery store very cool. Also the y sale plates of food and it's good.

Mean while back tomthe OP ... there were three women who were arrested related to this ...

http://www.foxnews.com/us/2018/08/0...co-compound-with-armed-muslim-extremists.html
The three mothers of the 11 malnourished children found living in a filthy New Mexico compound were arrested and charged Sunday along with two men described as armed Muslim “extremists” after authorities raided the property in search of a 4-year-old boy.

Jany Leveille, 35; Hujrah Wahhaj, 38, and Subhannah Wahhaj, 35, were arrested and charged with neglect and child abuse of the children. The three women, who were found at the compound in Amalia, initially refused to answer any questions.

While it is no excuse what so ever ... you gotta wonder did they let this go on because they were intimidated/controlled or abused by the 2 men? I am guessing yes ... and if somthose two “men” are even better pieces of crap.

Given the last names I was wondering if it was a multiple wives situation.

Thought I’d go over to CNN to see what they have to say about it. Was their lead story, with the school shooting angle their main focus. They didn’t mention anything about Muslim extremist connections, predictably. Didn’t mention Islam at all.

That’s CNN for you. Warm and fuzzy bad news. Will not show the predictability of the religion of extreme beliefs. The horrid conditions part could apply to any race or religion but the training kids to become school shooters is another level. Add the fact one of the men had connections to the World Trade Center bombing makes this a definite radical religion terrorist story. But hell no, Anderson Cooper, Don Lemon, and their circus clowns will not expand on the truth.

The city is like Vegas. Get in, eat, drink, see a show and GTFO. 3 days max unless you are really young and want to party like a rock star and spend that kind of money. But the deli's are worth one day by themsleves. And the pizza ain't bad either. Italian joints. OMG! Steak. Yes. China town. Off the hook. Even their bagels are better. I'd weigh about 500 lbs if I lived there.

I am from the Syracuse area originally. I moved out at 22. Went to NJ and then PA for a couple years. Then did a 10 year stretch in CA. While there I travelled 13 Western States pretty much every week and Western Canada. I worked for several companies in Chicago. Have friends there. They all hunt and shoot. They all go to Canada and the Dakotas for trips. So I have spent a lot of time in almost every state. For the most part people are not that different. I have a buddy born and raised in CA that grew up on a chicken farm and if he mingled with our local southern guys would fit in just fine. Ex Navy guy that loves to shoot, hunt and fish. Same deal with people I know in Seattle, NY, Los Angeles etc. It gets old listening to ignorant peope trashing other areas that they have never spent time in repeating really mistaken generalizations about people that they have no clue about. It would be like me trashing everybody on this forum from the Charlotte area since Charlotte is run by left wing loons. So I guess I should assume that everybody from Charlotte or its outlying areas are all Commie scum. Yeah same thing with Durham guys. They must be commies right? Asheville guys? Damn tranny commies probably.

If all the worst case scenarios people envision about out current political problems play out we are all going to need all the help and friends we can get. We should be looking for reasons to make friends and allies of like minds. Not dismissing them because they happen to live in a political hell hole. For most it was an accident of birth caused by parents. Not their choice.

Whiskey rant, thread drift over. Back to your regularly scheduled thread. Sorry!

I don't do big cities. BTDT, seen the world & I'm over it. I know it's not fair to judge a book by its cover, but layovers in Newark & JFK convinced me I never needed to see that part of the world again.
