And i have a decision on my claim from the regional office out here.

Couple deferred issues, but thats on the examiners
Sweet. Once I reached out to Veterans Guardian after running in circles for years, I had a decision in just under 4 months.

i was surprised at the way things were done, must have been a lot of changes in the way claims are handled. im already being paid for the increase on the things they did approve while they are reviewing the deferred issues.

How does one get re-evaluated? Is veterans guardians the way to go?
I haven’t been re-evaluated since I got out.
Happy for the OP, sorry for the thread derailment.

you can file the paperwork yourself (not recommended)

you can use a vso (county or veterans org ie vfw)

you can use an attorney ($$$ not recommended unless you're fighting a huge appeal)

you can use an org like vet guardians (they wont take your case unless they feel its a winner and will take a percentage of your disability)

Thanks!

np, you're vso will go over filing increases (asking for vba to increase an old condition that you already are getting disability comp on) vs filing a new claim for conditions you have never filed for.

this claim im working on is a combination, asked for an increase on a condition and filed for everything that i was told not to file on during my med board (yes the lady at ft bragg said not to file if it wasnt bothering me grrrrrr)

there are also new presumptive conditions for gulf war era veterans for asthma, sinusitis, and rhinitis due to exposure to the burn pits. as long as the conditions were diagnosed within 10yrs of discharge you should be presumptively service connected for them

decision finalized (nod mailed, not received yet but you can see the updates in ebenefits/va.gov). so all in all a very quick process out here.
