I run a Recce 5 on a Sig 516 in the 7.5" flavor.
The only issue I have is heat. I know, supressors get hot, but that 7.5 gets my Revce very hot, very fast. The factory finish burned off the Recce 5 and Ive had to periodically repaint it with high temp paint. 1500 degree paint burns off, 2000 degree paint stays put. I havent met a mirage shield yet that doesn't smoke and smoulder on it.
I have to grip the magwell instead of the rail or wear some gloves while I shoot it. The gas block, barrel, and rail are short enough that it heats everything up a good bit. It makes it a little uncomfortable to hold the rifle by the rail section while shooting without gloves.
However, if I pay even a little attention to my rate and volume of fire, it's manageable. I do have to stop shooting it about 30 mins before Im ready to leave to let it cool enough so it doesnt melt the rifle case. I usually spend some time on the pistol line while waiting for everything to cool down enough to case up.
I really like it, but if I had it to do over, I would probably go with a 10.5"
As always, ymmv
