Smok3y was our big winner in the June/July match and we will let him pick the new target! Congratulations Smok3y! Thanks to everyone who shot and posted a target, let's get this next match started.
Good call Me. I wanted to make another most that sort of showed the double and triple and bullseye to help make that more obvious, and this helps. For those that don’t spend a lot of time with dartboards.... note that the highest scoring area on the target is NOT the center of the bullseye.

Completely agree!!!Looks like a fun target to take to the range with a buddy. Maybe play some 301 or 501. Double in, double out, just to make it interesting.
Midnight 9/30This challenge looks like loads of fun. Now I need to find a place to shoot.
What's the deadline for turning in targets?

It looks like rule #9 applies to your question, and you would get 0 points for the 20's.I have a scoring question. I am not familiar with darts. So is each slice from the outer to the bullseye only to be shot one time? As in this picture I have hit the red outer ring in the 20 and the red inner ring in the twenty. Do I get zero for the slice or points for each red ring?View attachment 143262
What I see, based on the rules listed, is that entire part of the target is a 50 or 59.I have a scoring question. I am not familiar with darts. Agreed with above. What I see, based on the rules listed, is that entire part of the target is a 50 or 59.
-multiple hits in the 1 = 0
-multiple hits in the 20 = 0
-multiple hits in the 12 (I think that’s what’s to the left of 5) = 0
-multiple hits in the green center ring = 0
-1 shot in the red bullseye = 50
-1 shot in the 9 = 9? (The outermost 12 looks like it tore into the 9 so wouldn’t cancel it out, but the one closest to the center might be clean?)
Great example for us to make sure we understand the scoring. It’ll be hard to have many clean shots near the center.
Edited to add the single 9.
Yes, a 0 as I read it.So this bullseye would be zero? I hit it once then thought maybe try for the geen too. Guess I should have left it alone!View attachment 143268
Correct. Zero points. So this bullseye would be zero? I hit it once then thought maybe try for the geen too. Guess I should have left it alone!View attachment 143268
I think you are definitely going to be careful how you decide to take your shots. Dpending on how you are shooting that day and how the wind is doing, deciding when to push it.Yes, a 0 as I read it.
I haven’t attempted the target, but I can’t see taking more than 11 shots at this point.
Well at least we would be seeing some targets!I would be soooo tempted to send a round of buckshot at it just to see how it scores...
I went to the TSC match at Conover on Saturday so I didn't get a chance to shoot this target again yet, but I think I understand it better now. I should have skipped the TSC match and shot this one. I did terrible!
Yes you do!This target is fun, I will try it again! Need to try for triples!
I’ll admit it crossed my mind...Maybe you should have tried for a bullseye too!
