Yup, I really like my IPA’s and resposato tequila, it also needs to be on a limited basis.
Exactly. For me, substitute whiskey for tequila. Moderation is the key. You don't have the potential to die from abruptly stopping marijuana unlike alcohol.

You still going to get fired or sent to rehab no matter what the state allows. It's the same as firearms ,the state allows CCW, but your employer can prohibit them. How do you feel about a company being able to test and fire you for "weed" use even if it is legal.
Yup. This right here. Most kids I knew started with alcohol and nicotine. I also know folks from high school that have been smoking dope since the '70's and to this day don't drink or do any other drugs. I guess they got stuck at the gate?
Kind of like people who start pages long threads about alcohol?
ThereIf only their was a state that was already equipped for mass production and could really benefit from legalizing it? Oh yea the state that use to pump out tons of tobacco that already has the infrastructure to grow, harvest, and then package and sell it.
The big thing is how to measure the amount someone has in their bloodstream, think like a breathalyzer at a roadside stop.
.........i dont see the big deal. From what i remember.....it.was super popular when i was much younger, and im guessing it still is. Another thing i remember........i have seen many a mean drunk, but not a mean pothead. They just want laugh, eat and sleep.
I figured making that statement was akin to kicking a bee hive and then standing still hoping the bee's didn't see me.....
In all honesty, I have never tried MJ, have no desire to and will probably die perfectly clean. I'm a child of the late 60's so my vices were alcohol and smokes. I grew up in the country and there wasn't any weed available to us so we smoked cigs and drank beer.
Regardless of your choice of poison as long as you control it, and yourself I could care less which you choose. Since I've never smoked weed I don't know what the effects would be so pay me no attention.....
Buy stock in Nabisco. Dorito sales are skyrocketing. It's also important to point out that not all who support legalization are doing so with the intent of smoking..... I feel like the ones who want to smoke already do so. I just don't get how marijuana is illegal and alcohol flows freely on every corner. I'd bet that far more bad decisions are made after consuming alcohol than will ever be made after smoking grass. The only thing dad assaults when he comes home high is a bag of Doritos.
I will also add that I do not smoke grass and don't think I have any intentions of doing so, but I have a drink a couple times a week. Either can be done responsibly.
how about a lush? Why is it that everyone who smokes pot is a pot head and a hippie but everyone who drinks alcohol is not a drunk and a bum?
Let the LEO free to fight the real criminals.
Playing devil's advocate - that may be because there is no reliable way of testing for it roadside, or even with blood samples. We rarely got inmates in for "weed" driving and causing wrecks, but there were lots of arrests made for "drunk driving" with property or people damage.
Medtera. It’s about $60. You can get the cream / oil in a can or a 30 day supply of pills for about the same amount. You want CBD oil, not hemp oil which is far cheaper.Would love to try the OIL for my aches and pains...
Not sure if the MIL is going to allow that
A step further down this path: I don't think there's a reliable standard to test against to determine sobriety.Playing devil's advocate - that may be because there is no reliable way of testing for it roadside, or even with blood samples.
Me right down to the ground!!!I neither drink or use weed, but I am not opposed to anyone doing either one if no harm is caused
DAMMMIT BOY!!!!!!! That wuz a goot wan!!!!!!!!!!My only difficulty in supporting is the hateful side of me doesn't want it to pass just to spite irritating, blathering on, know it all stoners that harp on it constantly; they are up there with atheists in regards to being sanctimonious jerk offs.
But yeah, why not.
You are correct that there isn't any foolproof way to test for recent marijuana use. Blood test will only tell you if a person has used, not when. I am also still not convinced that alcohol testing is accurate either. What is impaired for one person isn't the same for another. I think that technology will soon have a scientifically reliable test for marijuana. My point really was that, in my experience, I saw fewer inmates under the influence of marijuana come in that had caused some issues while driving. The weed smell on the ones I did see were a pretty easy indicator that they had recently used, so it didn't take a genius to figure it out. A lot of them would openly admit to using. On the other hand, I saw a much larger amount of people impaired with alcohol that had caused issues on the road. All of my evidence is not in the least scientific but purely anecdotal so feel free to form your own opinions.Playing devil's advocate - that may be because there is no reliable way of testing for it roadside, or even with blood samples.
Make it legal, tax it, leave the kids alone.
Let the LEO free to fight the real criminals.
I read an article a while back that said the cases of impaired driving accidents had gone up significantly in the states that legalized weed.
I'm all for people being able to make their own choices, but I will never support it's legalization.
Half the fun of smokin' weed as a kid was the fact that it was a little bit illegal. When things changed and it became life-altering illegal it stopped being fun. I can't even imaging how little joy will remain once it's fully legalized.
How can you support personal choice, yet support asinine laws that prohibit that very thing. It's called cognitive dissonance. Look it up.
Took the words out of my mouth.I am sorry you had a messed up childhood but pot didn't do it. That is all on your dad. If pot didn't exist, it would have been something else that he abused. That's the same as saying guns kill people when in reality it is the person using the gun that kills people.

Easy, you grow up in a household where the dad smoked weed all the time and see how badly it messed up your childhood and family life, then let's see how you view it. My dad was more interested in getting stoned than he was interested in going to work, or spending time with his kids, or anything, except getting stoned. And for him it WAS a gateway drug. I watched him snort coke off the family picture, take assortments of pills, etc. All the while my mom worked two jobs and yet there were many days we came home from school and the power was turned off, or there wasnt much to eat in the house.
You have any more stupid questions?
About the same as alcohol. How do you feel about a company being able to test and fire you for "weed" use even if it is legal.
That's the only way they will ever allow it to be legalized. Why must we tax everything? So the Gov can misuse their power some more?
And while we’re at it read up on CA’s pot tax results.
That's the only way they will ever allow it to be legalized.
Think about whiskey tax and the Prohibition . Some of the most powerful criminal organizations came to be because of making whiskey illegal, now we have powerful drug cartels. Make it legal and crime will shift away from mj and on to something else. We will always have crime but the only way .Gov will legalize anything is if they get something in return. In this case, tax revenue and lots of it.
Here is a interesting quick read about prohibition. You of all people should be well versed on this subject CZ.

The problem with your example is scale. While legal at the state level in California, marijuana is still illegal at the federal level which means dispensaries in California and Colorado have to factor in loosing their entire inventory to DEA raids at any time. Combine that with the fact that no major companies are providing marijuana yet and that’s where your discrepancy lies. If Philip Morris or Lorrilard were to start producing a $25 pack of Weedz cigarettes you could get at a liquor store just like you can buy a bottle of devil water you would see that black market dry right up.Maybe at some point things need to change. Especially considering the fact that even with legal MJ in CA the cartels and ‘illegal’ market is still thriving. Using traditional thinking is not getting us anywhere and is pretty self defeating. It’s like an abused woman saying she better do X or she’ll just get hit again. At some point there has to be a better way.
