Brett Kavanaugh Senate Kabuki Theater

So this go fund me for Ford ($565,756.00 as I type), is it tax free?

Absolutely not. That will be a big ol 10-99.

If she thinks she was assaulted buy Kav, wait till Cali taxes are done with her.

I think if the Republicans gain a few seats in the Senate from the midterms maybe Trump should nominate him if Ginsburg goes away. The Judicial Committee would have a Field day with digging in his past ... and then not vote no but “oh hell no” :D

I might sign up for twitter for a day so I can send that traitorous jackass two things. Elections have consequences, and STFU.

I'm disappointed that these cry babies were not wearing purple like Pant Suit Nominee, aka Zero for Two.

I told my wife tonight that when Trump was running how irritated I was with his silly “You will get tired of winning” crap...

Fast forward 2 years the orange bugger keeps winning...

Seriously, WTF is that thing????

Also, camera technique to make a small crowd look bigger: get low in the center and film in a circle. We have seen that one before. What a bunch of assclowns.

A decent and short read on how confirmation acrimony is a manifestation of diametrically opposed views of government power.

https://www.foxnews.com/opinion/why...o-vicious-because-government-is-too-important

Key paragraphs:

The Supreme Court — and the federal courts generally — are more deeply involved in our lives than they were 50 years ago. The dramatic expansion of the judiciary's role can be seen by the increase in federal cases. Since the 1960s, the number of circuit court cases has increased from 21 per million Americans to 223 per million. District court cases have grown over the same period from 448 to 1,252 per million Americans.

The growth is easy to explain. Whole new branches of law came into existence as new federal agencies were formed. The 1960s saw the creation of the Equal Employment and Opportunity Commission and the National Transportation Safety Board. In the 1970s, there was the Environmental Protection Agency, Consumer Product Safety Commission, Federal Election Commission, Occupational Safety and Health Administration, Nuclear Regulatory Commission, and U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission.

Each of these organizations created a host of new, often controversial regulations that fall under the jurisdiction of federal courts. Existing agencies were also granted new regulatory powers.

That much hate distorts you. My wife mentioned that you can pick a Lib by looks. She has a 90%+ success rate.

Kavanaugh sworn in as 114th Supreme Court justice, hours after Senate votes to confirm
https://www.foxnews.com/politics/ka...t-justice-hours-after-senate-votes-to-confirm
From the article:
Protesters and activists had been a ubiquitous presence on Capitol Hill in recent days. On Saturday approximately 1,000 protesters marched to the Capitol steps, chanting “November is coming.”

Oh, it most certainly is, and nothing is going to stop me from voting, and hopefully many in the middle who got a glimpse of what the left is capable of will also be heading to the polls.

I just posted this in another thread, but thought Id c/p it here too

There is a change.
I see it in the punk rock world.
No, its not widespread, not a lot of punks turning the corner. But it is happening.

I just read a post by a band that Ive liked for a decade or so, Anti-Flag. A fun live band that's very politically and socially motivated.

They reposted something from someone about how BK was a 'devastating blow' to our country... and then I started reading the comments. About half were pro BK/calling out the fact that Ford had no evidence or no one to back up her claims etc

To everyone that said DT was a dictator and fascist etc another would comment how wrong they were.

Things are changing, people are opening their eyes to the truth

I would think it would fall under gift tax.

Unearned Income 1099 Misc perhaps. But I think that Go Fund Me states that if the money isnt used for the original stated purpose that funds cannot be used at all unless donors give the OK ( they can ask for a refund, etc.)
