Brother-in-law just diagnosed with two different cancers

After more than 18 months of doctors appointments, treatments, and pain, he was ready. So grateful that he was no longer in pain at the end.
My father died from cancer in '98. Home hospice. I felt more glad that his suffering was over than sad at the loss. I guess, in a way, knowing that an end is nigh allows feeling the loss to be spread over time.
I'm glad Ines's pain is over. And though he was not a regular presence in our life, he will still be missed.

Rest in Peace Ines.
