Good riddance. If he had been passed, it would have lit the fuse for sure.

Not that the fuse isn't getting lit anyway, the way things are going.

Sad but True. Soon to be a forum, Welcome all to Felons Row "Motto" We didn't Comply.

No doubt they will place him in a lesser position at ATF that has no congressional approval requirement.

I know the right ā€œpositionā€. šŸ¤Ŗ

They'll give him an easy job with a free paycheck... And, when they do get someone else passed to head the ATF, they'll make sure Chipman feeds that person all the info from the Gifford Gun Grabbing Playbook.

His wife was already a high ranking person at ATF. She had to step down because if his nomination. I wonder how that's going to shake out. Policy advisor to POTUS?

Score one for the win. After that joke of a display where he couldnt define the undefined term of assault weapon. Just another liberal buffoon who will end up somewhere else on the dirty WH payroll of friends and family.

Whats the closet skeleton that made the powers nervous of his appointment?

Language is of no concern for the lefties.

Several. Racial language coupled with a failure to disclose interviews and events (at least one of which evidenced clear ties with anti-gun biased entities) are chief among the items that have quietly labeled this guy as an ineffective ATF lead in the minds of both Reps and moderate Dems. Thus, a level of bipartisanship regarding such matters is why he's toast, but we don't hear the Biden administration touting bipartisanship on this matter, do we? (Imagine that...)

My concern, though, is that the next snake they nominate will simply be the quiet anti-gun type of snake instead of a loud one like Chipman.

He is headed to an administration position where he will still drive policy on gun control [eg he will write the executive orders for Biden to sign.]
He's not going away.

Best hope now is Dems are so panicked about midterms that they will back burner controversial moves for a while.

They will make him head of the Firearms Technology Branch of the ATF (the ones who determine what is a ā€œassault weaponā€ or such) so anything more than say a Ruger No 1 or side by side is illegal.

Just watched the daily press briefing, and Psaki said they were discussing what sort of position in the federal govt. that would be a good fit, not quoting her, but that was gist.

Next in line ā€¦ same ideas, thoughts and instructions ā€¦ just different name ā€¦
