Construction, outdoor, physically active concealed carriers get in here.

Don't even get me started about where to set the damn thing in the Port a John...

Why would anybody want to set their weapon anywhere in any kind of restroom in the first place?

I carry IWB. When the pants come down in the bathroom, anywhere, the waistband of my briefs get pulled over the top of the holster/pistol grip. That keeps the holster/pistol close to my leg and does not allow it to flop down, completely obviating the need to remove my pistol for any reason.

As for "...how you folks that climb fences, belly crawl under holly bushes, slide down 20 ft dirt mounds, trip over silt fences, roll down hills, and sweat like whores in church carry", I'm not typically that active any more. But carrying in the field or on the job where I may be involved in similar activities, like fence climbing and such, I simply carry my normal IWB.

If I were in come kind of active sporting event where I'd be doing a lot of these types of things, I wouldn't be carrying at all.

I prefer OWB, but short of wearing a shirt down to my knees, it ends up behind the damn pistol within two swings of a hammer, right when the Shannon Watts intrusive joggers for nosy mothers group runs by, and I would really rather avoid having to pour on the charm all day to quell the fears of Karens that aren't getting enough attention at home.

So, how do you folks that are doing the ugly work carry?
Depends on situation. I'm 1.5 hours from the nearest metro, which is another way of saying I live in a place where the sight of firearms doesn't tend to freak people out. With that in mind I tend to:
  1. Open carry using a custom OWB holster and belt
  2. Add a cover garment when I want to conceal -- where I use a short sleeve button-down shirt (worn open/unbuttoned) with two velcro tabs sewn into an inner fold at the bottom of the shirt 's button-down line on my strong side. I have two flat weights to which velcro is attached ... allowing me to add weight to keep the shirt down and where it should be, but remove the weight for washing the shirt so it doesn't annoy the hell out of me when it's in the dryer
  3. Carry a LCP as a BUG in a Recluse holster in my back pocket. The Recluse holster has a trigger block and presents to onlookers as if I have a wallet back there, even without a cover garment. The pistol is easily removed from the holster with only a little practice. This setup makes for a nice holdout location and, there are times when OWB w/ a cover garment isn't workable (in someone's home who I know is anti-gun), in which case the BUG becomes primary for a while.

Front right pocket with a S&W 642 in a nemeses holster.
I wear cargo pants, an' keep all my possibles in the cargo pockets, leavin' the normal front pockets free for arms. Gun on strong side, spare mag on t'other side. I don' use the back pockets.
i’m in the j-frame/LCR right front pocket club
Glock 43 in my front right pants pocket.

Pocket carry all the time, from sitting at a desk to working in the yard or washing a car.
It will show on your holster.

The hardest work I do is resetting targets But...from thousands of people shooting here over 15 years, strong hand pocket carry has been The most effective. When @MacEntyre first pitched up here he was carrying his EDC in the Not strong hand side. After 5 minutes on the range ..he changed to strong hand side. Mac takes in info, processes and acts. Some folks take longer to come to the table. Some never do. Carrying a lethal weapon is a Big decision, How you carry is a very Personal decision. Here, guns from a G26 down to a NAA mini revolver all work just fine in the above mentioned mode.
Really glad to see so many chose this way on their own.

Leather kydex hybrid inside the waistband. Clearing land working on cars, running the tractor, running a saw in the woods, etc. I clean my carry piece more because of the dirt and debris that gets accumulated in it then from shooting.

G26. In my appendix holster in my front right pocket or cargo pocket. Wearing 5.11 pants. Their pockets are pretty deep

Some a'y'all must wear some big baggy britches.
I'm a little big myself 5'11 250 or 260. So maybe my pants are just bigger. But from what I remember in my skinny days my 5.11 pants still had some deep pockets. The cargo pockets on those are made to hold 2 or more ar mags

Op....sweat, work, crawl. Roll over. Never loose them....ever.

38 special revolvers up to 5 in barrels are always left hip, owb, for right hand cross draw, retention by hammer thong only in open top holsters.

Easy movement, easy sit, easy seat belt, easy draw, totally secure believe me, I've been ignoring the edc for years of high activity and in the end of each day, its still in the holster.

shirt to cover and if folks notice it or it shows a bit, fuc-em, non of their business anyway.

Toilet, gun still in holster on the floor with my pants, it'll ride back up when yer ready.
