Are you saying it's shooting 2" higher than the dot POA with the dot adjusted all the way up? Be gentle because I'm a relative newby with optics.

Correct, rounds are impacting 2-3 inches higher than point of aim with elevation adjustment on the optic maxed out. Ive not experimented much further but id assume the further from the target I get the worse it will be.
No worries on being new to optics, we all have been there.
