Dec/Jan 2022 22Lr rimfire 50 yd Challenge

Aren't we suppose to shoot this target like playing golf? You shoot the target until you hit the hole. I am confused. Yes I am old.
No we set it up as a par 3 course when shooting for 50 yard score. Tie Breaker at 75 yards is one target with one shot at each hole.
We must be about the same age as I thought it ended at the end of December. I was politely corrected.

Not saying Eric F is the winner of Dec- January Golf target just yet, but just a reminder only 9 days left, and the weather situation doesn't look to favorable, it might be time to be thinking about the February-March challenge and have a Target ready.
I am loving this event.

Have that in the back of your mind @Eric F. Someone might jump over you at the last minute but having a target picked out won’t hurt.

I have one picked out, just in case. Hoping to get my other CZ out for a final run at 75 yards, depending on weather and schedule.

Was at the range today. It was rainy and windy. So I did not shoot a thing.

Found myself with a little time this afternoon and decided to run over to a place (Wesmar) I haven’t shot at in years.
Well you top shooters can relax cause apparently they are closed on Tuesdays. Probably was my last chance for the month cause I am having a colonoscopy on Thursday and doubt I will have time again before February drops.

Sorry you didn't get to finish out on this target. I hope your Colonoscopy adventure goes well and you are back on track on the next Bi-monthly challenge.

Well I am out of it for Dec/Jan shoot tie break. Yesterday was my last chance and by the time I finished shooting skeet it was late. So congrats to @Eric F if no one else step up today or tomorrow. I think from now on I will just shoot the tie break the same day I shoot the regular target if that is allowed.

That is what I did since the tie breaker rule had been established. Unfortunately the weather wasn't to good that day and was deteriorating fast. I shot a 5 on the tie breaker and felt like I could do better. Went out again when weather was better and tried the tie breaker ( for fun) and couldn't improve my score in three attempts. Ordered some SK Long Range but haven't had the opportunity to try it out.

Well weather and work conspired to keep me off the range the past two months. Looking forward to Feb/March. My wife bought me a variety of Eley stuff for Christmas I still need to test too.

Can’t call it yet but it does look like @Eric F is gonna take the top spot. I tried twice in the last 2 weeks to get out and it just never worked out.

Well unless we have a late entry I believe we can call our first Winner of the year.

Congratulations @Eric F. We had to go out to 75 yards to get a winner though and hopefully more of that will be needed in the future.

We didn’t have a ton of shooters but with the cold and especially the rain just made it difficult to get out.

keep a look out for the new Rimfire thread and @Eric F target of choice.

Amps 13, you are correct about the weather in the last 2 months. I hope this new year gives us some decent days to try our skills and equipment. I also hope we recruit some new shooters so we can learn something from them. Waiting on Eric F's new target. I have some SK Long Range Match ammo I want to try out.

Let me know how you like the SK long range ammo. It is pricey stuff. New target has been posted in the new Feb/March thread.

I will let you know how it performs. You are correct about the price. I ordered from Whitten Gun works, $ 118 for a Brick + $18.00 shipping = $136 ÷10 = $13.60/ box. I need a good paying JOB. Yesterday a shooting friend of mine informed me that Lapua has come out with 2 new brands. Lapua Long Range and Super Long Range. That is sure to raise the National Debt!

Yes, I saw that “deal” from whitten and it was just too rainy for me to stand out on the corner to raise enough money.
Maybe this spring will be nicer out….
