Dixie Show Raleigh Nov 21 & 22

Okay ... here’s 2 points to ponder ...

1st ... ADVANCED tickets for Saturday are SOLD OUT! They are limiting the number of people entering and will stop admission once it is hit and then only admit people as others leave. Not sure how that will go but that is the initial plan.

2nd ... there is a rumor that there will be some subversive anti-gun infiltrators who are looking to make trouble about violations of King Cooper’s C-19 orders ... specifically for not wearing masks and to many people.

Will Governor Napoleon cancel the event due to CV protocol?
If there is a bunch of crap from the media or anti-gun infiltrators (which have been whispers of) on Saturday about too many people in the building and a bunch not wearing masks ... I could see him thinking about shutting down Sunday to grab headlines. WRAL reporting it and King Roy w/ Mandy Cohen saying “for the good of all we’re shutting down this superspreader event.

Might go. Need to find a G43x for a family member. I'm thinking people watching is going to be great at this show.

Hmmm...thats not sounding promising.

Nope and Sundays "Advance Tickets" are also Sold Out. Was sorta looking forward to this one but not sure I wanna hang around for four hours waiting for a one-in one-out scenario. I'm crowd-phobic in the best of times, so maybe we can encourage curbside pickup of 1 or 2k SPP and 1k .358 158 Gr SWC bullets ? Asking for a friend...

I'm concerned that the long lines and crowds waiting to get in will give the anti's exactly what they want: Outdoor crowds always look bigger and photograph better for the media, not to mention increasing the possibility of some confrontational "images" as protestors meet show-goers. Wouldn't put it past the media to stir the pot themselves if things are too dull.

Found rifle powder at Ed's in Vass today, and a gun I was looking for in Fayetteville. Skipping this show. If it doesn't have insane waits, I'll hit it Sunday. Do report back if you go and let's us know if any shenanigans happen, or if the wait is crazy.

This is the 1st I've heard of advanced tickets, I wonder if I could walk the line to sell/buy items from folks without going in. I've a Pink Smith Airweight and a PM9 to move, possibly a 40S&W Sig P229 as well.

The wife still wants to go. I suggested we skip it last night, line, we never buy anything, etc. She still wants to go.

Looks like we are going, leaving the house in a few. I'm not standing in line for 2 hours to get in though. I won't buy anything anyway. The last show, the line was long but it moved pretty quickly.

I haven't been able to make it out to a gun show in over a year, due to my work schedule, but it looks like I'll be able to make it out to this one.

I'll be going mostly just for the entertainment. Its going to be crowded and expensive, but I'm sure the people watching will be good for a few laughs.
Stop by Division Arms, Scott McClure's new venture and he has some of my products on the hook too!

Nope....not waiting in that line.

Nope....not waiting in that line.
Line is dying g down, im sitting in the parking lot. Its moving. Steady stream of folks going in and coming out. I would have to guess an hour in line for those that are considering going.

I would highly suggest bringing a firearm that line is non existent right now.

He's got burgandy tablecloths, easy way to find him

Not heading out there, its a haul from here and had plans today, as well as tonight, and tomorrow
But following this thread to hear how the show is

I went today. Was pretty disappointed. For one, there were far less tables. Two, there was only one kinda half assed table for reloading stuff. Just powder, not the good stuff, and very overpriced. I'm used to seeing several tables. :( I just wanted to buy one of those big bags of ground pecan shells or corn cob that one table always sold. I had no intention of buying anything else. It was amusing to look at the ammo prices though. Range level 9mm was going for 80-90cents a round. The sad thing was... people were buying it.

Do you know where in the facility?
I suffer from ‘Male Pattern Blindness’ and haven’t seen any signage.
He says...

Two sections back from the front wall. In line with the exit doors. Look for the Catawba Collectibles banner.

Couldn’t go due to work,my neighbor went and was looking for some 12 garage buckshot for me. 9mm was roughly $45 a box of 50, he did encounter some police surplus Glock Gen 4s and new Gen 5s for normal pricing

he got there an hour before they opened, was quite a line he said
