I went there yesterday after a multi year break and was surprised to see that the general retail area of the place was gone. Now there is just the cigar store.
It made me sad to see that, apparently this happened circa 2015, the original owners idea was to have the men go smoke while their wives perused the general store and went shopping. I still remember the place it sold a lot of cheap useless stuff but it was always fun to look around the cowboy hats, dusters and assorted riffraff. And on the way there to see many billboards boasting along the way "biggest selection of bathrobes at JR's!" and similar nonsense.
The cigar store is as it was back in the day, lounge is closed of course. Prices have gone up a lot over the years but they did pretty much anywhere. I only saw a total of 4 employees working.
On a different note, the place used to be posted but isn't anymore. Wonder how that came about?
