Picking the agitators and violent actors out for real consequences is the solution.

yeah that stuff was being done 20 years ago, I'm sure the accuracy has improved.

I wonder if requiring everyone that attends a protest to register and wear an electronic tracking device would be considered an infringement of their right to assemble? I mean if we gotta pay a tax to buy a suppressor surely a free tracking bracelet would be just fine, right?
 
If I’m a LEO officer in a crowd of protesters I would like to have a scanner to read those not actively carrying a tracking device. Wonder if they have such devices?

There are portable devices that would allow an officer to determine who does, or does not, have a cell phone. Tricky to use in a crowd.

Now you've got me thinking about a video camera integrated into a fake cell base station with a very focused radio. Point it at someone to capture both video of them doing something and the ID information from their phone. Feed that data back to the carrier and track that phone for as long as you like. Would work even with prepaid and Obama phones, and probably could be made to work even if the phone is off or in airplane mode. As I say this I'm guessing that it already exists, I just haven't seen it.

It doesn't have to be violent, but the protesters are violent. Any push against then will become violent.

I feel that it is inevitable.

What may happen next is that he will have his bail and lawyer fees paid by one of the celebrity funded bail/legal relief funds that go around getting POS guys like this off the hook. This is exactly why I don't purposely financially support any celebrity, actor, singer, sportsballer, etc. because they are taking people's money and basically using it against them.

BLM is also big into paying rioter legal fess and bailing them out of jail. Add to this that there have been a handful of DA's in these big cities that drop charges altogether and it becomes clear why the rioters seem to act with impunity.

Freedom is nothing if not messy.

Portland is gone and it isn't coming back. Only the locals can rise up and take it back and that isn't happening.

Notice that these thugs only take over places that would never resist (Portland, Seattle, etc.).

Until they come to Raleigh or Greenville they aren't my problem. If they make it to NC it's up to us to deal with them. (With the possible exception of Charlotte. Sorry Charlotte people. Most of that place is one big armpit. I used to play there 6 nights in a row half a dozen times a year. Each time I couldn't wait to leave.) We can't help Portland.

Now, if they come to Raleigh or some other Carolina town, we'll find out what side of the fence we're on.

No, I'm not condoning being on offense. But I am saying we get between them an private property. I am saying we don't allow them to block roads.

The next move is up to them. I'm prepared to go on defense.
