Equalizer

They took a crappy gun gave it a new slide and added capacity. Not exactly innovation on S&W’s part but not surprising after the release of the groundbreaking (sarcasm) CSX.

My experience with the EZ was abysmal, was only slightly more reliable than any of the Kahr firearms I’ve owned and that’s not saying much.

Queen Latifah fans will be all over this.

That is NOT the Equalizer. That is an abomination.

This is the Eqaulizer.

• Maglula UpLula® magazine speed loader included

Not sure what to make of this. It can only mean one of two things-
-Check out this cool plunger we're giving you. These gizmos cost about $25 and it's free!
-You ain't using a thumb here forget it. You're gonna need this thing.

I think this. The ez line used to have a thumb stud on the magazines to make them easier to load. People who are buying guns for the easy to rack slide probably cannot load a normal 1.5? Stack magazine. The 365 mags are hell no telling what these things will be like.

Happened to stop at a LGS today, he said he was trying to get one. Now I have to wonder why… it’s the EZ but optics ready, slightly higher capacity and a few hundred more… I like S&W but… it’s a miss.

The mags don't have a loading button on the side, so a loader may be appropriate for the target audience.

The name is absolute cringe lol. Way too edgelord.

That said, the being internal hammer fired is interesting. Kind of like their Victory 22lr in design. I'm curious what the trigger press on that single action trigger is like compared to their striker-fired M&P.

The old ez trigger wasn't bad, better than the hinged trigger shoe imo. I imagine they will phase out the older one in time.

My wife has a 380 EZ. The trigger isn't bad, better than the vast majority of striker guns.

That's good. Being hammer fired has to be my favorite thing about that series of pistols. It's just something different, while maintaining the same basic manual of arms and profile of a typical striker-fired polymer-framed pistol.

The naming conventions this company uses drives me insane. I can’t, no matter how hard I try, imagine answering the question “So, what gun do you carry?” With “The Equilizer” and even retaining a slight ounce of dignity.

Shield…that was Ok-ish…but still not optimal. But equilizer? What’s next? The Exterminator

Equalizer belongs more in some tacticool custom 1911, if it belongs on a gun at all.

Despite the name, everything the Equalizer brings to the table is actually really good.

I'm not sure how it's going to compete against the Shield Plus since S&W recently dropped the price to roughly $400 street price.
