Equalizer

Clay of FG&G “helped” name the Equalizer.

Despite the name, everything the Equalizer brings to the table is actually really good.

I'm not sure how it's going to compete against the Shield Plus since S&W recently dropped the price to roughly $400 street price.
IDK about that. The EZ series of pistols are a great product for the market it targets-inexperienced shooters whose main concern is self defense. I think you loose that market when you add a hard to load magazine and shorter grip.
I do not see how it appeals to more experienced shooter who would most likely prefer the smaller, lighter micro double stacks like the shield plus, hellcat or P365.

Yeah, but they do include an UpLula which makes up for them being hard to load. Additionally, the new 15 round Shield Plus magazine for it will add to the grip length if the 10 and 13 round magazines are too short.

After all of the discussion of the original EZs and decades of wistfulness about 3rd Generation guns, this gun should have had a DA/SA trigger.
