Facebook marketplace access?

You can't delete anything from the Book of Faces anyway.

It's all backed up in their servers.

And the Utah Data Collection Center too, of course.

I bought 2 Honda v65s (one is a nice sabre and the other is a parts/restore project magna ) on facebook I almost did not contact the seller because the deal seemed to be to good to be true ($1000.00 for both ) but since they were within 20 miles of me I decided to take a chance. Here they are on the trailer headed home (I remove side covers when I trailer bikes especially old bikes with old grommets)

So I forgot that I was annoyed about their latest language in their privacy agreement, and logged in to look at used bikes before the 30 days was up to “delete” my account.

Found a message from a guy I had messaged about a trailer he had for sale. He had replied that it was still for sale. I asked if it had a title and was registered. Took him nine days to reply.

And he wonders why the trailer is still for sale all these months later.

Maybe he doesn't like the Book of Faces either and simply doesn't check it much.

In the past two years, if I bothered to document each time I had logged into the Book of Faces, I could probably count them on one hand.

Then why on earth would he advertise it there? It’s not on Craigslist. He’s just one example. I inquired about two different bikes for sale. No answer weeks later.

Who knows?

I'm generally tired of all the BS with people on the Book of Faces, not to mention the liberally bent suppression of speech the site does, so I no longer do squat there. I do, however, check in once in a while to check up on a friend or two.

If I were looking to sell something, I'd probably give their Marketplace a try. Depending on how badly I was trying to unload it, I might be a bit more diligent about checking back on it, but honestly I'd probably let it slip my mind in my general apathy towards the site itself.

I deactivated my FB account right after the Capitol riot because I saw how tightly they were working with the FBI. They are basically the surveillance arm of the federal government. I tried to create a second account with no friends using different names, etc. to use just for FB Marketplace, but (creepily) they could always tell it was me and shut the new ones down almost immediately. Creepy.

I've since been using Nextdoor's marketplace and it seems to be working better anyway. Better stuff, people easier to work with. Bought a bedroom set and sold a TV, both good experiences.

remember the good ol days when you took out a classified ad in the paper
yes sir, The Sunday Sun, Washington Post, also there was a like a small paperback
pamphlet named the "Want Ads" all kinds of goodies for sell, came out every week.
found a 70 Z28 Car less motor / trans, great shape for 5 Bills, L88 motor complete
3 bills (ran great) LS7 motor ( crate 5 bills) good ole days for sure, Cars, furniture,
motorcycles, tools. 7-11 sold them and grocery stores.

Fecebook, you gotta be careful now, one scams, 2 you yourself may get robbed, or killed
this day and time it happened up this way the other day. person went to look / buy a car
the criminals were waiting and robbed him. I have a Fecebook account but use it for them
gun / reloading groups. Mainly use MeWe, Hibid auctions, offerup once in a while. Govdeals
bought a many thing from Gov-Liquidation long ago, brass, pallets of Ammo Cans.
