PRICELESS......... my wife is now asking (informing is more accurate) to hit the range now and I’m loving it, it’s expensive as hell but totally worth it to see her enjoying her AR.

My daughter has a friend that is a single 25 yr old female and from day one she has shown up every single time with 9mm & 5.56 ammo prior to going to the range, the amount she brings doesn’t matter to me at all and I’ll let her shoot until she is sick of shooting because she at least makes the effort to contribute.
I provide a vanishing species..a great outdoor range in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains that I solely maintain, shoot whatever you want however you want, no fees, no worries, great time. .
Family property.Do own the property?
Go ahead and buy him an AR now while they are cheap (and unrestricted). My granddaughter liked her Cricket, but started asking about an AR when she was eight. Can't wait for that one. Mine is only 11 months old. Oh yeah already bought his first gun.
Before he was born.
Kids are fun. I've been fortunate..never had any young-un act up or anything. Always been attentive and did pretty good. And if it's a kid, all bets are off. We all try to throw ammo and trigger time at them if they want it lol.

But oh yeah I work em. They're not gettin out free.
Kids pick up the brass.
Free brass is like crack to the re-loaders.
I've got coffee cans full of the stuff.
I keep it just to watch my re-loading buddies haggle over it. There's much negotiation.
"ok you get two 45's and I'll take one 308..."
Coffee cans? 5 gal buckets! Lots of boxes full too.
I have a large collection of calibers I will probably never load. But you never know!
