Indeed it was a great day to be on the range.
The 1st time shooter that was on our squad said he would be back.
1st time shooting from prone for me.
Turns out it was one of my more accurate stages @ 3 down.
Appreciate your efforts as always Amp.
Hopefully see ya at T f T !!

The squad I was on couldn't have been anymore welcoming or friendly. It was so nice meeting you and @dmarbell.

I told you! @Amp Mangum has made sure the H2O shoot is the best shoot ever, especially for new shooters. Nice to meet you and see that you had a good time and shot so well.

I got a lot of comments about the prone stage, the Wilmington Mafia (aka The Geezer squad) was moaning and groaning getting into and out of prone. 😁

Ricky Harris had us shooting prone in his pistol class a couple years ago. I discovered those big fat HL Impact Pro ear pro I wear don’t work with your arms outstretched when using the ground as a rest for your blaster.

@dmarbell and I were trying to decide what you would say about the prone stage.....nothing that is forum appropriate I am sure.

I think our squad had some sort of record for number of weapon failures. 2 borked PCCs, and 3 handguns all with multiple failures on various stages.

What guns were acting up?
CZ Scorpion was dead in the water after 3 shots. Same guy had an UZI with a bunch of light strikes and his M&P locked up solid at stage 6. A fella was having issues with his G17 double feeding. Beretta 92 was probably operator error. My Archon Type B failed to eject and tried to feed a round into the spent case on the last stage (1) There was probably more, but I think all but one guy had some sort of malfunction.

I tried to unlock the M&P but couldn't get it to open, I've never seen a pistol locked up that tight trying to feed a round into the chamber.

I had an M&P 1.0 that had a case head separation and was definitely FUBAR until Carson and I (well, Carson mostly) performed surgery on it in the safe area at H20 several years ago. I can recall him saying now, “WE NEED A BIGGER HAMMER."

I want to say it happened to him twice. Live round in the chamber and another live round wedged in behind it.

Yep, that was my friends G34.5, fairly new and it did happen twice (on two different stages with two different magazines I believe).

Probably that brass cased ammo, I hear that stuff wrecks yer gunz and now I've seen it in real life!

Good match yesterday. I see that I have mastered the art of shooting in slow motion.

Everyone else shoots a stage in seconds. I shoot them in minutes.
You can never be as slow as I am.....does that help any??

Toys for Tots back up gun match coming up Saturday November 27. Bring a $20 (or more) toy for a boy or girl and shoot the gun you really carry.

Just getting ready for the BUG match and checking the rules, sounds like "division capacity" in BUG-S is 5+1, not 6+1, and subsequent mags, sorry "loading devices" are limited to 6? or is it 5? And why is this one category different, couldn't they have just said 5 and then not had to make that special statement about BUG-S?

We don’t need no stinkin’ rules.
All mags loaded to six at that match.
Revos are just SOL, LOL.

30 mph wind gusts forecast for tomorrow. You skinny young fellas are gonna suffer. Those tarp walls are going to beat you to death, whereas us large, old farts have the advantage of gravity that keeps us firmly planted. We will prevail.

Great match today. I didn't see @dmarbell but almost beat him in SSP, came in one spot behind ya buddy!

I was there, squad 5 start. It looks like you hit one more no-shoot than I did, or you would have smoked me. But that's ok, a bunch of folks smoked me. It was a fun shoot, interesting targets.

I shot squad 2 again. Those no shoots got me today. Had a really great time though.

We had three USPSA shooters join us in squad 5. Holy crap. Two were father and son. Son looked 14-15. He raked the bay with us.
REALLY fast.
