Some people are so afraid of their shadow that the sky is always falling. How so?

Please explain how a store can make money on items they don’t have on the shelf. There is no shortage of anything, just making it look that way to jack up profit .
Add in the droughts, especially in the west and Midwest that impacted the wheat harvest last year. With lots of other nations also about to experience shortages, the demand (price) will go up.I’m not an economist nor did I sleep in a Holiday Inn last night but, I did read an article ( and I can’t find it now) that between fuel, fertilizer, insurance and parts, that more small farms are going out of business now than since the Great Depression. Farmers are working their ass off and going in the hole. Many are calling it quits and selling the family farm to developers. Less farmers, less food. It makes sense.
I've been hearing this week after week since about May 2020. Things are bad, no doubt, but I suspect the fearmongers are trying to make a buck off it.
There is no shortage of anything, just making it look that way to jack up profit .
I didnt watch the video because I dont need some 'prepper' telling me 'insider information' which may or may not be true.
Now, I’m not sure this is true. There is no shortage of anything, just making it look that way to jack up profit .
With any type of information you need the ability to sort through the BS to pick out stuff that seems legit. Just like with reloading, consult three references to be safe. Now that I'm retired I have a lot of time to do just that. If I see something that peeks my interest I go find other sources that might lend credence.I might have thought that if I hadn't been hearing the same sorts of info from a variety of different sources, both internet and locally, for the last few months.

The items return to the shelves just at higher prices just like the ammo shortage years ago. Please explain how a store can make money on items they don’t have on the shelf.
Shut a country down and this is what happens. Now who did that and why ?Now, I’m not sure this is true.
The government fills the economy with billions of dollars. You can’t get people to work. The supply chains are diced up like a guy in horror movie. There is a ton of money chasing fewer products
Inflation.
Did I mention nobody wants to work.
So there are definitely shortages.
Are we all going to die. Someday. Just not today. I’ve got too much work to do.
Yea FJB screams to shut down russias oil pipeline to cripple there economy , same with us.Empty shelves + no notice on when receiving shipments = shortage.
No doubt there are mark-ups--we are in an inflationary period where everything is more expensive.
Neither could I and we aren’t even related.Am I living in better days than any of my ancestors? They couldn't afford food when it was cheap.
So we have government caused shortages but shortages none the less.Yea FJB screams to shut down russias oil pipeline to cripple there economy , same with us.
What the big question is why are they doing it ?So we have government caused shortages but shortages none the less.
The government creates a problem, than tries to fix it by flooding the country with printed money, making the money worth less, causing inflation.
The government screws up everything.
You know why. What the big question is why are they doing it ?
Pray we have what our forefathers had in 1776 and the America they foresaw survives. You know why.
The Great Reset. They can’t usher in a new world order when we have a strong economy and we are thriving without them.
So we have government caused shortages but shortages none the less.

Hard for something already dead to survive.Pray we have what our forefathers had in 1776 and the America they foresaw survives.
I’m not dead as well as many others who believe the same so it’s far from dead.Hard for something already dead to survive.
We don't have the sense of common community with our neighbors and townspeople like they did. For that matter, we don't have it even like we did 40 years ago when I was a kid. How would this impact things if we had a food shortage? How many people would share what they have with their neighbors (whether that is wise, is another discussion). Or a more concrete example, if you knew that whatever passes for LE is coming to confiscate people's guns, would the community arm up and stop them, or would they make excuses?I’m not dead as well as many others who believe the same so it’s far from dead.

It answered him and his point very well. That wasn't his point though.
