June / July 50 Yard 22lr Challenge!

I’ll be playing tomorrow to see if I can defend the trophy. 🙄
I just replaced a Burris with an Athlon Midas Tac 6-24X50 on my Kidd 10/22 build. Way more magnification! We’ll see how the test drive goes.
Great choice with the Athlon Midas, I have heard wonderful reviews on it. Not sure if you can tell, but I am a big Athlon fan! 😀

Any opinions on my 8 ball shot? The more I look at it, I think the paper tore into the black part, but the hole looks like it may be within the white circle

I see that! Got mine as an open box item from our Camera Land member here.

I agree. Anyone disagree?
I’ll push my target down on a flat surface and it will be more defined on the .22 size hole.

I really need a color printer just for these challenges. I just use our work ones.

Eight looks inside.

I do not think I will get a chance to shoot this target. I am trying to learn to shoot skeet/trap and keep bringing my good bench rest habits to the skeet field. i.e. keep want to aim instead of point and shoot. High score in skeet is 18 and trap 19 and I finally did that two weeks ago. This past week was not very good.

Well….
I stunk it up today. Shot 5 targets with SK Standard Plus & 1 with Wolf Match Target. My first and last with the SK were my 2 best. 155 unless y’all see different. Those edges of the numbers are a killer!!😡

But it was a great morning to shoot. Not hot, overcast, and practically zero wind.

Kidd 10/22 barrel, trigger job, bolt.
Victor Titan stock and cheap Amazon bipod
Athlon Midas Tac 6-24X50
Rear bag

Nice shooting guys. I shot with the air
rifle a couple weeks ago, but the gray scale (no color) made it hard to see the lines. And with an old target backer the holes weren’t clean, so it was hard to score.

Another case of life getting in the way, but here's my last minute submission #1

Ruger 10/22
BSA 8-32x44 optic
CCI Std ammo
Front rest & rear bag

Banged out two perfect sighters on the cue ball, then proceeded to sprinkle the shots all over. The 2-ball was an obvious miss and I called the 7-ball "out"

SCORE = 140

... and now for my final submission

H&R M12
Sightron SII 36x42 optic
SK Rifle Match ammo
front rest & rear bags

(old rifle pic)

SCORE = 198 190
I added this up several times, but double check my math! I called the 8 and 14 balls as "in", the 10-ball "out". This rifle/ammo combo turned out to be a good shooter... much better than the Wolf MT I was feeding it before.

ADDENDUM - 8-ball is definitely out after using OnTarget. Score reduced

It’s really hard to tell from the pic…but I think the 8 breaks the line. Don’t know that it matters as far as who wins, though. 😝

Congratulations nbkky71! Looks like you are the winner! 🏆 I will get a new thread posted today and you can choose our next target!
