That's excellent work! My Dad was a terrific woodworker - built all kinds of stuff from scratch.
I, on the other hand, was adopted from a long line of hillfolk and can't draw a straight line with a ruler.
I've done a good bit of checkering while restoring antiques. Your first effort beat the hell out of mine. Handwork is never perfect, but that looks damned good.Thank you. It's not perfect but it is a start.
After finishing they do look very nice.
I’d call the offset lines good. They are going to be at the forefront of your mind going into your next project, which will lead to better ones.
And, functionally they are just as good as perfect ones, they look great and can be used with the smug satisfaction of a project imagined and completed.
I’ve come to like thick grips with flat sides, so I think I’d like these ones!
