Maryland was probably excited to add you to the gun guy watch list so they process the papers right away, lest you fly under the radar too long as a guy having guns that aren't noted on the database. It is amazing that it took less time for me to get a carry permit after moving to Maryland than it takes a resident of CM county to get a permit.
That sheriff must be getting paid quite a bit in cash tips to expedite special people permits as well as cash tips for the local crime families to slow walk most. The delays make the workplace for criminals so much safer.
This is stupid thinking. It’s like laws against criminal activity. If one doesn’t prevent it, more aren’t going to do any better."But McFadden is mistaken. As we have said previously, Grass Roots North Carolina and Gun Owners of America will file as many lawsuits as necessary
to ensure that this sheriff and other sheriffs comply with the law. "With our legal hand strengthened by the recent Supreme Court decision in NY State Rifle & Pistol Assoc. v. Bruen, we have a strong position to win this suit”
Pre bruen MD denied over 90% applications. So applicant numbers weren't high. The numbers skyrocketed as so as they eliminated "good cause." Approval time dropped. Application is all on line.Maryland was probably excited to add you to the gun guy watch list so they process the papers right away, lest you fly under the radar too long as a guy having guns that aren't noted on the database.
Any updates on the hearing?
And has the insanity of letting a small group of psychopathic tyrants dictate what you can and can not do dawned on you yet?Our treasonous Senate received the Bill from the House and is letting it Lay Dormant until it DIES!!!
Fox 8 News reported that “Paul Valone, the President of Grass Roots North Carolina … blamed the NRA.” He said they pushed the legislators to pull the bill because of the training requirement that was left in the law. I still can’t wrap my head around the NRA’s logic behind that decision. I mean, I get the argument behind constitutional carry, but don’t you take what you can get and then go back for more later? I don’t know if I would have made that same call. And the veto proof NC legislature had a win behind them (pistol permits) and momentum and would not forward the bill embracing constitutional carry as the law of the land. Vote the rascals out and demand term limits.
